My husband and I have talked about joining a supper club so many times. We live on the upper West side also. We'd love to hear more!

I live in the financial district in Manhattan. How about we plan something for mid-end of January?

Just found these posts. Sounds like a good idea, can anyone join in? I'm in Gramercy Park.

My husband and I would also be interested in joining. We live in Murray Hill. Perhaps we can meet at a restaurant to discuss the details.

I'd like to hear more too. We're trying to start a supper club up in Rockland but if nothing comes of it, NYC isn't all that far away!

My husband and I are in Essex County, NJ, not far from the city. Would we be eligible for joining if nothing forms closer for us?

Meeting at a restaurant at first to sort out details sounds like a good idea--it seems like most people reside on the upper west side--how about suggesting a restaurant near there and throwing out a date and time? (End of January is best for me, personally--anyone else?)

I am interested in joining as well. I live in Gramercy Park (saw one other person who does too). The last week in January works. If you need any downtown restaurant suggestions how about Globe (Park/26) Andreas Brick Oven Pizza (3rd/23) and America (18 bet 5/bway) all are very casual and should have something for everyone. Let me know what you decide.

End of Jan. works for me. Anyplace interesting is okay, west side, downtown, battery, whatever works for the majority of us.

I just read about the Supper Club idea and would like to be a participant. I'm in Astoria, home of Greek seafood and pastry delights. I work in Midtown and spend a lot of time in town. Have a date and location been decided on?

I would definitely be interested in joining. Tuesday, January 30 works for me. I live in Brooklyn, but work in the East Village - any ideas about time/place to meet?

I'll propose Tuesday, January 30. Does that work for most people?

joannes et al, Tuesday, 1/30/01 is good for me as well. I'll throw out Arturo's on Houston St. as a suggested meeting place. But I'm game for anywhere. And looking forward to forming a group.

If we're talking about eating downtown, I think I'll also throw out Spring Street Natural (at the corner of Lafayette) as a suggestion. It's a big, roomy place and I really like their food - good soups and salad, chicken, seafood, and pasta. I had my birthday get-together there this year and everyone was happy with what they ordered. What time do most people get out of work - I finish up a little after 6pm.

How about we say Tuesday 1/30 at 6:30pm at Spring Street Natural (62 Spring St (Lafayette). I made a reservation for 15 people under "Cook" (little humor there). Subway - take the #6 to Spring (the guy at the restaurant says it is right by the subway).
ER - is this ok with you? You are the group originator. Let us know what you think.

Woofiemae, I would just come along and we'll figure out how large a table we need when everyone arrives. Originally posted by woofiemae:

FINAL DECISION!!! There are 16 of us, and I think the cut-off should be after "woofiemae".

So the 30th of January at 6:30pm at Spring St Natural (62 Spring St at Lafayette) will be the meeting place for the following people only:

Er, AdGirl, missbonnie, idgy, Joannes, newschick, eater, KCD, Aml, Traci, stock, tiffanyh, woffiemae, lou5128. For those who live outside of Manhattan (Barcinti, DBDubroff, angelowa), I think you should join us and decide if commuting is okay. Naturally, some people may not come so I think even though we have a large group, things should be fine. Reply if anyone has any questions or concerns, otherwise see you all on the 30th!!!

I have to back out on the 30th because of a training session at work (very rare). I still want to be a part of this and am very interested in how the meeting goes. Will someone please email me with the groups decision on how this will work. Thank you so much.

I look forward to hearing all about the evening!

Thanks for sending me the information. I will definitely be at the dinner on 3/1. Quick question, what about beverages? Should we bring wine, beer, or some soda as well? I am willing to bring a pitcher of margaritas if we have some people who would enjoy that.

newschick

I think the group agreed that whoever was hosting would supply beverages. But I think a pitcher Margaritas would be welcome --it goes with the Mexican theme. Ask our hosts.

Margaritas sound good to me - and it is only 7:30 am! We'll be looking forward to March.
Did someone get in touch with adgirl?
