Just from the previews it was obvious that this is a remake of Mostly Martha. But I think I still want to see it because I liked MM a lot and I'm hoping this version might have a different ending.
Is anybody planning to see it?

I'll wait for Netflix on this one.
Whenever I see the title I think of Bourdain(new season of Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations starts 7-31 BTW)
I know someone who saw an advance screening and didn't care for it and she has the same taste in film as I do
I really enjoyed Mostly Martha and don't see the point of a remake except Hollywood seems to be short on originality these days.
I can't explain why, but that movie holds some appeal for me. I'm not a particular fan of Catherine Z-J, but the movie still draws me in. We see so few films in the theatre that we'll likely wait to rent this one anyway. Let us know if you see it and what you think.

I loved Mostly Martha. I don't expect this to be as good. Not that many reviews yet, but on the Rotten Tomatoes site, http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/no_reservations/ it looks like reviewers may think it's not terrible, but that it doesn't have the charm or subtlety of MM. I'll see it on Netflix (as I do all movies).
I'm trying not to be a snob and automatically assume that foreign language films are better than remade American ones, but this does seem to be the case so often. One exception is the TV series The Office---I do think the American version is as good as the British!
