There were a couple of attempts to get some people together, and I don't know what happened to them. I would like to find a "few good men/women" in my somewhat immediate area to experiment with new recipes, show off our respective cooking talents and have some enjoyable get-to-gethers. All in favor?

We live in lowere Bucks and might be interested in joining a cookinglight supper club. What ideas do you have on this subject?

I think there are a couple of ways to go about it. Initially, we might meet at an agreed upon place convenient to all of us. Personally, I am fine with meeting for a drink/appetizer or a "coffee house" type place. Then, do we decide what type of cooking "party" should we have. Should it be an enthic theme? (I love mediterranean-origin foods). And should we pre-prepare or totally do at the get-together? Personally, I think that at least having the ingredients chopped etc is a good idea. I think that a party where we each make two appetizer type dishes (depending on how many people get involved) is a great idea. If there are more than three people, then one appetizer maybe. How's that for "food for thought"?

Hi! I'm trying to get involved with a group in south jersey but PA might be good too. I live in Phila, would that be a problem?

Let me know your thoughts -- is this just couples, singles, over a certain age?

I'm no pro but do enjoy eating healthy.

Look forward to hearing more --- any dates planned when to get together to meet?

Although I'm in Allentown, it is not unusual for us to go out in Doylestown, etc. I would be interested in hearing your plans.

I think that Doylestown might be a good area for an initial meeting to talk about plans, but it seems like we're from all over. Does anyone have a strong preference for meeting at a coffee shop/scone over one of the cute over the "hotel" in the middle of Doylestown, an appetizer and a cocktail could be had? Does anyone else have any ideas to contribute regarding possible locations to meet. Email me directly at A1GoldFish@att.net okay?

P.S. I thought the Beginning of May might be good. The rest of this month is pretty well shot for me. Actually the first week of May too, (Three immediate family members have birthdays!!) HOW ABOUT FRIDAY, MAY 11TH?

This will give us time to maybe get a few more people and/or time to schedule.
