Have you been to the Comcast website (http://www.comcast.com/)?

In the search box at the very top, type Outlook setup and you'll get instructions for different Outlook versions.

Oh boy, did we have problems last week....the minute they switched us from Adelphia to Comcast, we not only lost our e-mail, but we have a VOIP phone, and that went out also....

They were able to fix our e-mail, but in doing so, someone  made a change that screwed everything up, and it took my husband 2 days to get everything in working order...I would call their tech support line.

Good luck!

I've called their tech line. Once Thurs. and again today. I changed the settings on my Outlook and it still doesn't work. that's why i posted here. Same reason I didn't check their website because I spoke to two live bodies...sigh...can you ask your husband what he did to fix it, please???

My husband said to tell you to DEMAND to speak to the person in charge (not sure if there is anyone there on a Sunday)...he said the tech people he talked to were awful and knew nothing...he spent 4 hours on the phone:rolleyes:

Not only was e-mail down, but our web-pages weren't working either, as the new server did not accept the same file name format as Adelphia did...he had to rename all links to page and files....it was a mess!

luv2cook,

When you find out what to do, will you come back and post so that I can figure it out?I ended up just giving up, and only have webmail, which is a lot of trouble, when I am trying to mail a document from word.

THANKS!

At this point, I don't think I am going to try. It's just too much trouble. I can get DSL PRO for $39.99 a month and I'm now paying $55 for Comcast. They give me a choice of a new modem with $50 mail in or for $20 more, I can get a wireless one/router and can network my 3 computers.

I will also change my phone service, too. I can get a basic phone line for $13 and I think for $17 w/call notes. I will review that again on Tues.

I still have to deal with my new PDA which is not (all of a sudden) letting me get my emails from either account. I'm annoyed/frustrated in general. Wish I had an owners manual!

Outlook was working when we had Comcast.

We didn't install that CD that Comcast sent out because you don't need it. All it contains is monitoring software so Comcast can watch you online. Outlook and browsers will work without it.

We now have AT&T DSL. In our area it is faster than cable and 1/3 the price.
