Where do ladies buy your makeup? I'm talking MAC and Lancome....is it cheaper online? Dept store? Sephora?

In my experience, each company has a set MSRP printed on the product, and I think the companies themselves run their respective department store counters. At any rate, I've never found stuff cheaper one place over another. Have you looked on Ebay?

Costco sells *some* name brand stuff. They don't carry entire lines though.

QVC occasionally has good deals on major brand name makeup. If i see a great BE or diorshow mascara deal, i will buy it there. i wish they carried more Bobbi Brown make up. I am not sure if they carry MAC.

For me, my makeup is worth paying the MSRP :)

Yes, high-end makeup sold in dept stores are sold from counters run by those companies, not by the store. For example, a MAC counter person at Macy's works for MAC, not Macy's.

That may be the case at Macy's but not the dept store I worked for. BE, MAC, Bobbi Brown, etc were all employees of the dept store.

I got some very nice eyeshadow at costco. The compact says " Kirkland signature", then "borghese" underneath. It was much less $$ than department store and was the color I was looking for. As is typical costco they had I think two color choices. there was some other makeup also but I forget what. I'll look closer since I really like the eyeshadow.

I need mascara. I've tried maybelline & Revlon and don't like either one but my favorite, Max Factor 2000 calorie mascara seems to have disappeared. In fact Max Factor itself seems to have disappeared!
