A minimum of four would be reasonable to start with, and then add people if anyone else is interested. Since the previous replies were a while ago, I don't know if the interest is still there. Let us hear from you, and perhaps we could set a time/place to get organized!

Anywhere on Route 73 works for me since I live in Marlton. This week isn't good since the hubby is going to TX on Thursday, returning next Monday. When he's home to watch the kids, I'm pretty flexible!

Anywhere on Rt70 or Rt73 works for me also. This week is also bad for me since my daughter has been sick. I could do next week as long as the germs do not pass to my other daughter. The only day next week that I can not do is Friday.

Sounds great to me for the 22nd at 7:30pm. I can only think of a couple places on 73 -- Champs, Chili's or Sage Diner. Can anyone think of something in the middle of the Tacony Bridge and Marlton? I'm flexible.

The Mexican Food Factory is between the McDonald's and the Shoprite (before the RT70/RT73 circle. It is right next to Staples and across the street from the Party store. You can even access the parking lot from Staples or do a U-turn at the light by Shoprite. I hope this helps. OK, It is Thurs at 7:30.

Could we keep it on the 22nd at 7:30? I'm sure it will take us a half hour just to say hello and get to know each other and before you know it - will be 8:00 and the others can join us. The Mexican Factory on 70 is fine. Can someone give me some land marks from 70 and Haddonfield Road? About how far East is it on 70 and is on the Right or left?

Hi- My family is active in community theater and we are in the midst of rehearsals for Wizard of Oz. The show is a month away so we are in crunch time. Thursday is rehearsal night (Monday, too), which is why I said Tuesday. I can cancel my tennis game on Wednesday, if anyone else can make it then-HOPE HOPE!!

Hi everyone!! Sorry, I have not gotten back to all of you sooner. I hope by now all of us have received the March issue. I do have a confession to make..I have not even opened the cover yet. There has been some personal problems within my family and I have been totally swamped. I know that the 25th is coming in a couple of weeks. I was wondering if anyone could take over the role as the first hostess because I may not be able to do it. I still hope that I will be able to come but will not know until it gets closer. Of course you're welcome to join! Our newly formed So. Jersey/Philly supper club has only met once so far, at a local restaurant to introduce ourselves and see what how we want to run things. Our first actual planned "dinner" was postponed since we had several more people express interest in joining in the meantime, and we thought it might be a good idea to get together again at a restaurant (tentatively scheduled for April 12th) to reintroduce ourselves. So for now, it's April 12th at Copperfield's (??) or anyplace else someone suggests, at 7:30 (??)

Don't go to Champs on Thursday, go to Copperfields! That was the suggestion I threw out since Copperfield's is pretty big, large menu, and will probably be more quiet than Champs. Copperfield's is on 73, near Sage Restaurant. Let me know if you need more specific directions.

The Philadelphia/So. Jersey club met for the second time last night at a local restaurant. While there were only three of us there (Patti, Audrey, Carolyn), we did manage to set a date for our first "official supper", which will actually be a get-together at a local park on Saturday, May 19th at 2:00pm. We decided to take advantage of the weather, and keep things casual for our first meal. Park location and meal details will follow through e-mails. Looking forward to May!

Hi everyone! Just a reminder that our first dinner is coming up on May 19th! We had mentioned a picnic at Laurel Acres Park, which is still a great idea, except that I'd like to suggest Freedom Park in Medford instead. It's not far up route 70, and is huge with great walking/biking/rollerblading trails. It's really easy to get to and it's also not as crowded as Laurel Acres is. Let me know what everyone thinks. Patti, I can give you a ride if you want to meet somewhere if you're not familiar with that area. I guess we ought to start coordinating what everyone will be bringing?

Hi Laura--We did get together, tried for a picnic, but because it was kind of cool--we ended up at my house instead. It went really well, there were 4 of us--Carolyn, Patti, Antoinette, and me.

We had Honey Pecan Chicken, Roasted Eggplant Dip with Rosemary Olive Bread, Broccoli Salad, Garlickly Roasted Potato Salad, Green Bean/Tomato Salad and a Butterscotch Cake for dessert.

We picked June 15 (Fri night) for our next meeting. We plan to go to Chadds Ford Winery for picnic and wine. They have music there that night.

The South Jersey/Philadelphia supper club met on the evening of June 15th, at Chadds Ford winery and enjoyed a great evening of good food, and live music, while tasting some local wines. We (Carolyn, Audrey, Patti, and Antoinette) were all in agreement that the food was REALLY good! We had: Spinach and Artichoke dip (CL), Toffee Dip with Apples (CL), Picnic Salad (CL), and homemade bruschetta (not CL, but wonderful).
Our next get together will be on July 20th at the The Melting Pot Restaurant (a fondue restaurant), in Philadelphia. Anyone interested is welcome to join!
