Anyone else watching this? I love this show. These comics are great and I laugh so hard during every episode. It will be better now that we get to watch longer sets of each comic.

Getting ready to Spoil.......

I was very disappointed to see the woman from London get sent home (her name is eluding me right now). It didn't bother me any that Dante got sent home.

I think Debra DiGiovanni is hilarious and I really hope she makes it to the finals. She cracks me up.

I am totally disappointed that the comics aren't living in a house together this year. I thought their cohabitation made for some good TV and great laughs. I have a fond memory of the comics from a couple seasons ago playing hide and seek with Dat Phan..... they let him hide and then never went to seek him. It was very funny.

I saw 4 comics from LCS perform a couple years ago. I can't remember all of their names, but I do remember Gary, the very tall, very handsome comic. I believe he won that season and I just adored him and thought he was so, so funny. It was great to see them perform in person. I wish I could be part of the audience that votes for the winner.

What are everyone else's thoughts? Who are you a fan of this year?

I'm a fan. I think any show that celebrates making people laugh is a great thing! I never got much out of the living situations ( other than the hide and seek with Dat Phan - hilarious! ) so them not sharing a house is not a big deal to me. I was sad in the semifinals when the mother of 5 from Australia went home. I thought she was an absolute trip and totally brillant! If I'm even in Australia - I'm tracking her down for a bottle of wine!!!:D

Hi Terri!!!

I've only watched a few shows and we've enjoyed it. I hate seeing her go as well. I loved her video on the last episode where she said (this is not a direct quote, b/c I forget the specifics of what she said), "I should win b/c I'm a mom of 7. Well, they are only eggs right now"...sorry, can't remember details, but that was the basics of it...loved it!!!

I was upset when she didn't get picked too. I thought she was definitely funny enough. I preferred her over most that got chosen to be on the show. The little British guy is pretty funny too. I'm interested to see what other jokes he has up his sleeve.

I was sooo glad to see Dante get bumped off. He was way too arrogant, and I thought his whole set about the White Daddy/Black Daddy was stupid. To think that before he went on he said "this is going to be the best set I've ever done". :p

I don't really like Lavell but I thought he did the greatest job taking care of his 'heckler'!! I would love to see John Reep pull it off this year, I really like him!

I also miss the house...Dave Mordahl and Rich Voss...and Rich continually ironing the same pair of pants all season. :D

We're fans also...and not happy that the Aussie woman didn't make it...there's a comdian in Australia, Kevin "bloody" Wilson..we saw him in person the last time we were there...he can be pretty vulgar, but geez is he funny...we have all of his CD's:D

I hope John makes it also!

I agree...it was not a good set! I didn't like it when he acted like his child, glad he is gone!

I've been watching the show and sometimes I actually don't find them funny. Dante was funny at first but since in the beginning he only did impersinations I knew it wouldn't last. That is an issue I have with the guy that got through this week - he is always impersinating his grandfather. At some point he is going to have to come up with some actual jokes.

Each season I've taken issue with the people they pick. It is SO obvious that it is to get a variety of people. They always pass on the funnier people to get a "balanced" group.

I'm a fan of Doug Benson because he was on VH1's Best Week Ever. I don't think he's a great stand up comic so I don't see him winning but he is just a funny person. Like his response to the heckling. "Who's got the boom stick now? I like to go to womens shelters and donate money...." :D

Aha! That's why he looks so darn familiar!!! I couldn't place him for the life of me.

I agree that they definitely passed on funnier people. Hopefully this show got them some good national attention.

Spoilers below for episode August 8th!

Wow - I just noticed on the website for this show you can watch the full-length clips of their performances. Still, they are shorter than 5 minutes each and I wonder about the audience that shows up for two 5 minute performances plus a couple of jokes by Bill Bellamy.

Anyway, it was a sad day indeed. I can't believe Debra is gone. I really, really liked her. I loved her manic delivery of jokes. I like Matt too but not as much as Debra. I can only look at those teeth for so long before I'm done. It was great watching them compete though because they really were evenly matched. AND they, IMHO, are both funny - as opposed to the comics we saw compete last week.

I'm really liking Amy too. Right now I'm hoping that she wins.
