Is there a reason why certain archived threads will not open?

I am getting a "server error" message whenever I try to retrieve archived information prior to 30 days ago.

I don't know if this is the same problem Lorilei was referring to, but when you run a search that turns up archived threads, the search links still have the old forum addresses.

The favorite appetizers thread in the Popular topics archive is doing something weird. When you click on it, it tells you you're on the second page (even though it looks like the 1st page to me); then if you click on the 1st page it takes you to fav/most versatile veggies.

I've been meaning to report this very thing. This problem has turned up in other archived threads and I just found the same thing in "Help! I'm Buried in Zucchini!" Back we go to the versatile veggies.

Forgive me if this has been done or already suggested, but as of late with the increasing numbers of new members, we're getting a lot of repeat questions. Most say they're not acquainted with the archives. Is there a way to suggest this as a place to look (perhaps when filling out registration info?) Just a thought...

Ugh. It seems to be indexing the archived posts incorrectly. I've seen this software do it on other sites too and I thought maybe we weren't having that problem. Thought wrong. Again - I'll be working on this and will let you know when I figure it out.
