None of the boards seem to be updating. When I come into the first bulletin board page where all the boards are listed, it shows the latest message as being Sept 1 at 11:14 AM. Is this a general problem or is it just me?

Oh no, it's not just you. I've ben trying since FRiday and the same thing is happening to me. I also can't post any replies without getting a funky error message about "problems writing to new file, permission denied" or something along those lines. I haven't been able to post a reply since 8-31 and I'm really getting frustrated. The Great food board has stayed exactly the same for the last four days: nothing has refreshed, and the last post date is 9-1-00. I went to the "contact us" link and sent an email to CL and got a reply just this a.m. saying they are working on the glitch and that I should try periodically to see if I can get on the site. I can get on the site - that isn't the *&%$#@ problem!!!! Nothing has refreshed and I can't post a reply - THAT IS THE PROBLEM!!!!
Sorry guys, I just had to vent. I'm in withdrawal too.................. http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

Here is a copy of the announcement I've put on all of the boards:
First, let me say thank you all for your patience during this time of transition for us. Our boards and website have become so popular and we're making a lot of changes to help improve their performance.
As most of you know, the boards have been down since Friday afternoon. Here's why:
A hacker entered our site on Friday morning and luckily he made very little modification.
However, due to this, we had to up the security level which in turn, caused some of the files needed to generate posts on our bulletin boards to be inaccessible.
We've found a way to fix and the boards are now functioning.
Again, thanks all and have a great week.

Shelly -- trust me, I completely understand the frustration and am about ready to vent a little myself... but I shall remain calm...count to 10...take a deep breath...inhale....exhale...

Maelynn, right after I posted that reply, I saw your announcement and felt really bad!! Who knew........a hacker! It was just bad luck that it happened on a long weekend when most people had extra time to play on the computer............ http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif
You just don't know what you've got till it's gone!
