Bumping up to the top I just ran a search and couldnt find them.

I saw a picture of them in Septembers issue and said I got to have those!!!

If someone could post that would be great.

Thanks

I noticed the original thread was posted in 2000, and nobody can find them. Were they ever in an issue? Anyone know?

This is not a CL recipe but it is light and easy:

http://www.badgirls.org/kitchen/recipe30.html

I've never made it but it seems pretty basic. I bet CL's version is better.

Funnybone the original poster makes reference to the cooking light low fat low calorie quick and easy cookbook and this is what they are advertising where they are pictured in the september issue the cookbook. So I think maybe I will start a thread to see if anyone has the cookbook and then plead with him or her to post the recipe, with my big puppy dog eyes.

Thanks Penguin for posting the recipe I am dying to try these so hopefully they will be close.

I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Good Idea! I always thought that most of the recipes would have started in the magazine though. I wonder if EP ever found the recipe. She hasn't been on the board for a long time (I did a search).

Terri-

Have you tried sending a message to CL through the "Contact Us" page? There is a section on the page that says:

For requests: Reprints, Articles, Recipes
For recipe/article requests, please note that the recipes/articles cannot be e-mailed, please follow these instructions. A street address or fax number is required.

It might be worth a shot!

Molli I am so glad that you have joined my cause I feel so united now on my quest!! We will divide and conquer!!

Jena good idea I will send them a note and plead with them with my big puppy dog eyes.

I refuse to justify to my pocket book that it would be worth buying that cookbook for one recipe no matter how good it looks!!

Thanks

Terri-Lynn,

I am sitting here laughing at ourselves on the quest for turtle cupcakes. DH and I will probably hit the bookstore this weekend, so I will also check there.

Those cupcakes just look so darned good and I would be such a hit taking them places ;) :D :p

Of course Molli if you and DH did happen to come upon this marvelous recipe you would share with your fellow comrade wouldnt you?:D

I hope that someone has this cookbook, you would think that someone out of all of these cookbook collectors would have it.

I am surprised that it is not anywhere other then the new cookbook.

Keeping my fingers crossed and killing myself laughing as we prepare for the fact that we actually may not find it.

Molli you are my inspiration!!

I have reenergized and I am ready to find this darn recipe. After all I think they would be perfect for Linda in Mo on her quest for kids cupcakes that adults would like to.

We need this recipe!!! It is a must!!

Got back an automatic reply for CL looks like a bunch of garble so I wont be keeping my fingers crossed that they will be supplying said recipe.

Looks like we are on our own!!;)

Still waiting for the sound of galloping horses , from our knight in shining armour to come toting this now very famous recipe.

I have heated the search up a bit I hope that it will draw out the lucky holder of the recipe.

Thanks everyone for playing along!! Its been a real hoot, and even if we never get the recipe I sure had a good laugh trying.

well, after all that hunting, it turned out that the recipe is the same one Amy (Penguin) posted earlier in this thread. she posted this link (http://www.badgirls.org/kitchen/recipe30.html). I guess these "bad girls" copied the recipe from cooking light!

Gee, I don't want to be a party pooper, but I am dissapointed that these cupcakes are made with a mix. :( I don't have any interest in making them now. However, I still would like to hear the reviews.:D

For those of you still interested, I just received a little booklet advertising Southern Living Annual 2002, and this recipe was in it...it's cookies, not cupcakes, and it's NOT light...but it does include chocolate, pecans and caramel...so if anyone is interested in the recipe, just let me know...and I'll post it...
