When/how does a thread become "closed"?

Since Maelynn and Lisa seem to be busy, let me explain. In an effort to speed loading time, the original intent had been for CL to archive topics which had no activity for 20 days or so. Archived subjects are inactive and you can't post to them, but are available for reference. They'd also intended to close and archive any threads exceeding about 40 responses (if you've noticed, really long threads take a long time to load) and we could always start a Part II of a subject after the thread had been closed. For a variety of reasons, the close-and-archive method hasn't been used in quite a while, so you don't really need to worry about anything closing for the time being. When and if things change, you can rest assured Maelynn, Lisa or Stacey will keep us posted. http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif
