Hi! I am new to the BB and there are several recipes that I would like to search for, and have tried but haven't found them, yet. I'm not sure if they were ever "posted" maybe just talked about. Anyway, my question is, is there anyway for the search engine to give you the specific "post" that deals with the words you are searching for-instead of the whole topic(some topics have 50 or so posts and it takes forever to read through them to find if anyone posted a recipe) Just a question, Thanks! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

Unfortunately, right now, that's not something our BB software will do. At first glance, that type of search would probably also take longer and take up more memory, and then the board would take longer to load.....
I think a downside to just receiving a post as the result instead of the whole topic is that you possibly wouldn't get to see the post in context with other posts. For example, if you were able to search each post for the word "chocolate", you would probably get 1,000 posts that perhaps don't offer any other useful information other than "I love chocolate" or "I had chocolate milk a lot when I was a kid" mixed in with posts with actual recipes and conversation about chocolate. And you would really have to sort through all of those other posts to get to something you really want to read.
Anyway - it's a good suggestion either way. Thanks!

I first want to commend you on this site. It is very user friendly. And, this suggestion is probably the only one I could make at this time. But, in addition to the first comment I made, I often go to another site where they are able to search for the each post with the word in it, instead of the whole topic(because then you have to search through all to find what you are looking for). But, once you find a search result that you like and want hear other opinions, you can opt to view the whole discussion if you want to. It is very handy.
