I just downloaded Cookware and a cook pack. The instructions to import a cook pack into Master Cook whizzed by and I didn't write them down. How do I import into Master Cook from the cook pack that I downloaded? I tried opening a .pac file from the import screen and it didn't recognize anything. Thanks for any help!

Opening a CookPac in MC is really simple. You don't use the import function, although it makes sense that you thought you should. When you are on the Cookbooks screen, with all the little pictures of your cookbooks, go to FILE in the top left corner of the screen. Choose OPEN. A window wil pop up. Find your cookpac and select it. Then MC will do the rest! It will open the CookPac as its own separate cookbook, prompting you to name it and to choose a collection for it. Hope that was clear.

I just noticed that you posted your question a couple of days ago. I hope you have alrady figured it out by now and are having fun with it!

This works with the Jan/Feb 2000 recipes I downloaded because they come with a version in MasterCook Format (file name ends with ".mcf"), but I also downloaded the 1997 recipes and they only come in the Cook Pack format (file name ends with ".pac"). Is there any way to convert them? They are not recognized by opening them in MasterCook. Thank you for any help!

Nope, there is no way to convert the 1997 ones to MasterCook. I have the same problem. They do have an updated version that is compatible with MC. But you will have to email them and tell them your problem and they will give you the new version that works in MC. At least, that is what they are doing for me.
