Search on BBs still not working correctly

Hi.

I think there's still a problem with the search function on the BBs. I was looking for a topic that I knew had been posted on the J/F 01 Smoked Salmon pizza with Marscapone (sic). I tried a search on pizza and then on salmon, but it didn't come up. I had to "show topics from the last 60 days", and then go through the pages until I found the review.

I thought maybe it was case sensitive, but after I found the thread, I saw that the subject line had lower case letters (which I used).

Items for pizza came up, but there was a big gap in dates - 8-5-00 was the last post before 2-28-00 came up. Are the threads somehow flagged between those dates? Did something happen with the system possibly that would have them in a different location or unrecognizable to the search feature?

Hope this is enough information. I had a problem with another search on egg yolks, one I had written myself (sometime in January), but it might be the same problem, since it's also in that time period.

I just came to post about the exact same thing. My experience was exactly the same as Shirley - a big gap in dates and a search that did not turn up a post I knew for certain was there.
