This doesn't give a true number of people though. I registered but plan on bringing 3 of my cooking buddies with me. Should I have them register too or are you taking into consideration not everyone is coming alone?

I think they are wanting a full count of people in order to plan events - if I'm wrong, Maelynn, please correct me but that's what I understood.

I registered from Ohio but it's not on the tally! Hope someone else from this area comes also.

Sorry about the confusion. This is not a tally of people coming. I'm not counting husbands, SO's, etc. It's actually just the number of registration forms from each state. So essentially the guests are not reflected yet. I may be able to get a more complete tally later.

NOTE ON HOTEL ROOMS: I know there have been some people trying to make reservations already. However, the block of rooms with the special rates have not yet been entered into the Embassy's system and will not be for a couple of days. Please wait until Thursday to call to reserve your rooms to make sure you get the right rate. I'll post more details on Wednesday or Thursday. And don't worry! I've reserved 40 rooms - that should be enough for everyone! (Unless there are a lot of people who have not yet registered.)

I registered from Charlotte, NC also, and that is not registered on the tally shown.

Actually there is one IL on the list. If there is no number next to the state abbreviation, well, that means I received one registration form from that particular state. Sorry if I confused you by not using a number by each state. Oops! (Joyce- there is also one from NC in the tally.)

mamasue, the hotel will be set up by Thur or Friday to accept our reservations. They made a deal with Embassy Suites (sounds very nice). There's a roommate page, too, if you're going to need a roommate or are bringing someone...

I registered a few days ago and TN is showing up with no number. I am assuming this means you have one (my) registration.

i'm not sure what you mean, but if you're trying to register, go to the front page of CL and there's a link to register. All I had asked Maelynn was to see how many people from Texas were coming and she just told us how many people she had registration wise so they know how many people are going to show. that's all. Thanks luv2, wife and I are already registered. The problem is on the registration deadlin bulletin board, when I went in a while ago, I could see Maelynn had posted a message at 11 http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/redface.gif5 but i couldn't scroll down to read it . Now on further attempts to enter the site I get a blank page,maybe they are fixing it or my browser is not accessing that site properly???? Oh well I'll manage

Also, this registration form is only to get an idea of how many people are coming and what you'd be interested in. I'll send out paper registration forms to all those coming before the big event. That way we can get a firm count. If you aren't on this list, go ahead and just post to this list if you want or try registering again. It's not something I'm going to use as a checklist.

Since so many people are worried
(including I) that you got our registration is there a way you could post our names or Username. Not only will we know who is going but also that we reg. correctly. I would hate to make plans only later to find out there's no room for me!
Also I know we're responsible for transportion and hotel but will there be any other fees for the activities you have planned for us? Thank You! Can't wait!!
