Let's try and figure out who wants to play golf. Hubby is looking forward to playing and I personally would like to see him play with someone rather than by his lonesome. I volunteer to coordinate this part of it if people are interested. Let me know.

Just FYI:
On the Bham Conventiona nd Visitors' Bureau website they have a bunch of golf info. But if you've never heard of Robert Trent Jones golf courses, then you've got to try one. (From what I hear, anyway.) There is a RTJ course close to here, too.

I'm game (even though I'm terrible and haven't golfed in six years) but my husband isn't coming (and probably wouldn't play golf even if he did)--is it okay for singles to join? What would you think of having a mini best ball tournament one day (maybe just a nine-hole)? Just a thought.

I have registered myself and my SO. My SO probably will not come if there isn't golf. He and I both play so count us in, but I don't want to miss any good CL events if there is a conflict. He will play regardless. Let us know.

Yvonne - there definitely will be golf. You can count on it. Hubby loves to play but I have a feeling you're going to miss out on golf because I think they will be playing while we're doing our CL thing...

There was a ? on another topic about whether or not we (CL) would be organizing a golf event. At this point, my answer would be no. You all sound like such good planners anyway. However, if there is anything I can do on this end to help you find a course, please let me know.

Maelynn, don't know where you saw that, but I planned on putting the golf thing together for anyone who wanted to bring their DH, DW, SO so that they would have something to do while we were with you guys! iqueen, I will have the DH look at the sites this weekened to get ideas but I think we'll wait until closer to confirm up possible groups for playing. We are getting into Birmingham on the 6th of June...and leave sunday...
