OK. It's time!
The Embassy Suites is now ready to accept your hotel reservations for our very first Weekend with Cooking Light!
Call (sorry it's not toll-free) (205)879-7400 and tell them you're reserving a room for the Weekend with Cooking Light event, June 7th - 10th.
Yippee!

Tiger, I searched posts and the rate is supposed to be 109 for King. I called direct and got 124. I knew that wasn't right but I told her to book it anyways. I plan to call back when reservations is "open" and fix it...she never asked me how many people either or what size bed, etc...

The toll-free number for The Embassy Suites is 1-800-326-2779. That's how I made my reservations. They gave me a price of $139 for 4 adults in one room with 2 beds. I don't know if you get a cheaper price if you call the hotel directly.

The rate is definitely supposed to be $109 and $119 depending on the # of beds. (Both have two beds. One has a King and a Queen sofa bed, the other had two doubles.)
I'll call today to verify this. I'll let you know what I find.

I registered this a.m. for King non-smoking and got $109. I called the hotel directly.

Just checked with Embassy and the double has a sofa bed also. Wanted to let everyone know because conceivably you could fit three people (sleeping in separate beds) in one of the doubles.

The rate is definitely 109 and 119. Call the number I listed in the first post and make sure to tell them it's for Cooking Light's event or else you won't get our oh-so-skillfully negotiated rate.

This is obviously NOT my day to do anything that even remotely involves technology. Just called the Embassy Suites. Seems their reservations system is down. (This after 45 minutes of trying to get on the CL website to get the phone number of the hotel!!!) In a very sweet southern voice she asked if I could call back later! Gina

I wonder if I was quoted a higher price because we'll be having 4 people in the room?
