I'm hoping there are some gardeners on the boards who can help me - one of my plum trees finally produced a crop of plums, and I'm trying to keep the fruit on the tree long enough to get them really sweet. They're fairly ripe now, but I think they're still a bit tart. My problem is that we have a hard frost forecast for tomorrow night (low of 35F), and I don't know if the frost will damage the plums. Does anyone have any advice?
Sorry, Clara, I have no advice. Just thought I'd bump this for you. Wouldn't I love some tree-ripened, sweet plums? Yum! Good luck. I hope someone can answer your question.

Thanks for the bump, TKay. I just checked the forecast, and we're under a freeze warning for tonight, with a low of 33F  , so I think they'll be getting picked today.

Plums should sweeten a little after picking. Enjoy!
