View Full Version : Looking for Roommates!

I thought I'd start a post for people looking for roommates. Not sure the best way to go about this.

I'll just start by saying I need a roommate! I guess it would be easiest to e-mail each other, but to be honest I have this "thing" about putting my e-mail address out on the web for all to read. But if everyone thinks that's a better way to go about this than to try to meet up on this thread, I'll change my user info to include my e-mail.

Any other roommies out there?

I need a roomie as well and plan on making a reservation tonite and will do so for 2.

I have reservations as well about not publishing my email address. It's not this group is a bunch of wackos or anything, it's just that this is a public bulletin board and I fear being spammed by our advertising friends at ********.

I am willing to add my email address to my profile as well if it will make things more convenient.

Sorry - scratch my previous message. I finally got through, made a reservation and am ready to go...don't need a roommate as it happens! LGBurns and Wendy, I'm looking forward to meeting you guys!

This hotel sounds like a lot of fun and it seems like CL got a great deal on the price!

Wendy, maybe you and I could just agree to room together. But now that I think about it, I'm not sure how we could arrange this without giving our e-mail address. I'll need to pay you for my half of the room, etc. Let me know if you want to room together and I'll post my e-mail address for you to get in touch with me. How's that?

Woops! Natasha, we must have posted at the same time. My offer goes for you as well. But again, I'm not sure how we'll make final arrangements without some way of getting a hold of each other.

Maelynn, any chance there might be a way to set up a secure place for us to post personal info?

One suggestion: once one of you has contacted the other and you've exchanged info, make sure to remove your email address from the post. At least it would only be up there a little while. Also, instead of putting it in a post, you can add your email address to your profile. It won't be so "out there" for all to see. You can always remove it later.

OR, maybe I can come up with some kind of secret code. I can make some decoder rings and send them out to you all and we can post in code!! Yeah. That's the ticket! (Ooh, that would be fun, wouldn't it???)

Maelynn, would we tune in every week to hear what the secret message is? http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/wink.gif Thanks for the tips, I guess I could have thought of that myself (duh!).

Kim, so glad to hear about your husband! I know how draining that has been for you, congratulations to both of you! If you and Wendy were okay with it, I wouldn't mind sharing a double suite three ways -- the doubles have two double beds and a sofa bed. That would be a way to save even more money (only $40/night that way). I'll be adding my e-mail to my user info once I'm done writing this post, so you can e-mail me if you want.

I made a reservation last night(2 queen sized beds $119 per night plus tax) with with the hopes of having a roomie. 3 people in one suite will give us more pocket $ if needed and it will be fun, like a slumber party! Great idea, LG Burns!

I wouldn't mind sharing with you both in case you haven't registered yet. My email address is in this thread or will be in my updated profile.

Sorry to hear about your husband Kim. A year is a heck of a long time to go without a vacation.

Well, DH wont get to go now. He has a new job(YEA) with no vacation time at all for 1 year.

If I go, I could use a roomie!

Just wanted to bump this up in case there were others who wanted to arrange roommates.

I actually would also love to have a roommate -- anyone else still looking?

We originally had 4 people from our
Cooking Light Supper Club going---
we are now down to 3 because one
of the member's husband suprised her
with a cruise! We have 2 rooms reserved,
2 king beds and I now need a roommate.
Let me know if you are looking for
a roommate.

I have a room reserved and was going to have a room mate and she will not be going after all. Someone from my dinner club is still deciding so I could use 1 or 3 (the room can accommodate 4) so email me if interested.
