To all those going on the trail hike with editors...

Will any of you be needing transportation? It is about a 20-30 minute drive to Oak Mountain from the hotel (easy to get to though) and I know many of you are planning on riding with others, or renting your own car... Please let me know on this board (or feel free to talk amongst yourselves here to arrange rides, etc.)

Also - for the catered CL Menu dinner - if you cannot or prefer not to eat meat or fish, please email me at maelynn_cheung@timeinc.com. Thanks all!

This is just sounding (in the words of DD when she was 2) "more funner and funner!"

PS Transportation won't be a problem for our group of 4. We will have one car, and even though it isn't mine, http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif I'm sure I can speak for the driver and say that we could take one more if needed!

Our group of 4 will need transportation. We'll be flying in and we didn't rent a car. (trying to keep things reasonable $$$$)
From earlier posting I believe the hotel will be providing transportation from the airport. I hope I'm right about that!

Lauren, Cindy and I have a car so we'll
be fine to get there. We could fit one
more if anyone needs a ride.

Actually - the hotel provides transportation anywhere within 5 miles of the hotel. There are 22 people signed up for the hike so we in reality need 5 or 6 cars.

I'll have a car, too, since I'm driving from Atlanta, and can fit 3 (4 if you get 3 in the back) in mine.

Maelynn: Should we bring hiking boots for the hike if space allows, or will sneakers do? Also, can you give us a heads up on the approximate temperature? Are ticks a concern like they are here in the Northeast? Should we bring a small pair of binoculars if we have them?

Thanks for all of the recent info, it sounds like things are coming along! Cindy.

We won't have a car either. I hope the two of us can bum a ride!

2 people can ride with David & I over to the hike but we are going to the golf course from there so they will need a ride back. Denyce you and George can ride with us and then we will take George to the course if that works.
