View Full Version : Imagestation frustration

I'm aware that Imagestation is closing next February. They are currently offering a free transfer to Shutterfly, but I am having difficulty with the process. I've clicked on the "get started" button, and it asks me to sign up for Shutterfly. After I sign up, it kicks me back over to Imagestation, and it asks me to sign up for an Imagestation account. Obviously, I already have an Imagestation account. When I enter my Imagestation info, it says I am "already registered" and it takes me back to the home page and it just repeats and repeats and repeats....!

I've contacted customer service about it, and they said someone would get back in touch with me. That was a week ago, and I've heard nothing from them.

I have over 900 images stored with Imagestation and would really prefer an automatic transfer to Shutterfly instead of manually doing each one. (ugh!)

Has anyone had any luck with a transfer? I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Well, I just googled the problem and it looks like the transfer won't work with Firefox. Maybe I should re-title the thread Firefox frustration? ;)

Back to IE for a bit.....

That's odd -- I've transfered two imagestation accounts into a Shutterfly account using Firefox both times. I did notice that I had multiple tabs open, and one was to the Imagestation signin page, and another was to the new Shutterfly page ...

I transferred using IE and I didn't have any issues. :)

Weird! Did you do this recently? I just tried it again (at this point, I have probably tried it 100 times) and the same thing happens. There is no "transfer now" button. After I log into Shutterfly, the Shutterfly page completely disappears and I am re-directed to Imagestation.

I'm going to use IE to transfer this weekend. I just don't know what is going on, but I have tried it from two different computers using Firefox, and I keep getting thrown into a log-in/ sign-in loop.

I read another message board where users were having trouble with the transfer using Firefox.

Anyway, thanks for the input. :) I'm keeping my fingers crossed I won't have to manually download 900+ images!

I just transferred after posting here about Imagestation shutting down. I use Firefox and didn't have a problem except that it took much longer than indicated and I'm having a problem with about 100 of my pictures that "can't be transferred" so I am suppose to be able to download said pictures but it seems they are unavailable for me to view  and the morons have yet to resolve the issue...I have to wait for them to figure out the problem (fortunately I do have copies of all the pictures I uploaded to Imagestation but I'm angry as their screwup).

Yup -- I transfered a really small album (like 5 photos) just yesterday while using Firefox. Last week I transfered my Yahoo photos (which is also shutting down; I think it's related to Imagestation) using Firefox, and that had approximately 150 photos or so in multiple albums.

I've done the upgrade to Firefox 2.0.0.7 within the last few days. Perhaps that was an issue? Unless it's a popup blocker thing. I'm not the tech geek in the house (that would be my fiance), so I'm afraid I can't help you much. :)

I tried about a billion times with Firefox and had the same problems as the OP. Then I went to Netscape and had it done in less than 5 seconds. Go figger.

Glad to hear I'm not alone. :)

I did try it with IE this morning and it worked right away. They've sent me an email that the transfer has started, and it could take up to 10 days (!) for it to be completed. At least it's something!
