I think this is the first noticeable rain that I have had where I live all year. I was so so tired of my plants dying, watering and watering and watering everything to try to keep it alive, and all the dust and smog in the air.
I am so happy that we finally have some rain!!!!:D

I heard about that on the radio this morning, curiously.
Feels like it wants to rain up here, too, but it's felt that way all day. It's awfully early in the season, but I'm ready for it! Especially since I've been in my kitchen for the last three hours. :)

us too! where is the happy dance emoticon! Our oak tree leaves have turned brown and we are still in fire danger until Beginning of November, but any little helps. I am seeing very old trees dying this summer due to our low winter rainfall.

And checking in from the middle of the state, I'll say that I too am SO glad it's cloudy and "rainy" (even if it's only a little bit.)

Yes... here at the beach... that was a really welcome rain storm. my house and grounds needed that 'pressure washing'. Everything looks better and smells good... ahhhh, we needed that!

I love the rain but I wish it could have waited till tomorrow. We are trying to build a fence today and it's been raining in 20 min spats which makes it hard to make any progress! Drag all the tools out, drag all the tools in . . .

I'm loving the rain!
It really worked out for us because DS didn't have a soccer game scheduled today due to Yom Kippur. Any scheduled games would have been cancelled.

I am loving the rain also. Had a nice relaxing day watching DVDs. I am so ready for autumn, but I think we could still have a hot spell yet. Seems September and October tend to be the hottest months around here. Looking forward to November 1st. Not a hot weather fan... can you tell?
Ahh, rain. I kept waking up in the night, thinking, "Are you kidding me? It's STILL raining?" That rarely happens around here. It has been lovely. I hope we get some more and soon.

We got some rain here in Sonoma County...and the power went out for over an hour! It's not like it doesn't rain here, but the first hint of rain, Boom! power's out.
Nevertheless, I welcome the rain as does my "lawn."

It's Saturday, 9/22, and it is RAINING! Really raining, not dizzling. But coming down so the ground is wet all day long. It's a day for watching DVD's and making soup which we did, both!! It smells so good outside.
Bad new is, by Tuesday it is predicted to be 90 degrees. Today it was 58 degrees. It's crazy how the temperature swings back and forth at the beginning of spring and fall.
The fall colors are starting to show and that is the best part of the change in seasons all year. The trees are turning colors to red, orange and yellow. It is all so beautiful. My favorite part of the year, by far.

This storm was awesome. I wish it lasted longer, though. We really need the rain down here...and I desperately needed a visit to God's Carwash.
Wasn't it less than a month ago that we were literally roasting outside?

and I desperately needed a visit to God's Carwash.
LOL! DH actually took the cars out for "God's Carwash"! Boy they needed it. I was going to ask him to wash the cars this weekend too - he lucked out. :D
