I'll go ahead and post about our CL Supper club meeting on Wednesday night. It turned out wonderfully. We are really getting to know each other now, and are having a great time together. We cooked together for the first time (previously we had done it pot luck), and it was ever so much more fun.
For an appetizer we had the spinach artichoke dip, which I think should bake for a lot longer than 30 minutes (which we did - it was excellent). Two people made paella (from a few issues back), it was excellent. HUGE shrimp, and not too spicy. Two others made the Three Kings Salad (from December), which was surprisingly good. I taught my partner how to section the oranges properly, and we had fun getting the seeds out of the pomegranate! Too bad I didn't have those wonderful directions on how to do it easily that I found at www.pomegranate.org (http://www.pomegranate.org) yesterday. Oh well, next time! For dessert we had the Tequila-Lime sorbet from a few issues back, and this was the BIGGEST HIT of all, I think! I can't wait to make this one again, and I'm doubling the recipe for sure! SOOO delicious. What a surprise for me, because that's not one I would ever have chosen to make myself. I have been introduced to sooo many new things through the supper club and these BB's. Thanks to everyone, and we sure are having fun.
