What to do with the kids?

Has anybody solved the babysitting dilemma? Do the club members bring all their kids to the host house, or do they get sitters? So what does the host do with her kids? Can you pool the kids all at one house? Just trying to figure out how to have an enjoyable evening at home when we're used to going out.

Our group of eight decided to limit the group to "just us" at our first meeting, so the husbands stay home with the kids. When it was at my house, my husband took our two kids out to eat and for a shopping treat, then have come home after two or so hours. Others have done this as well for those of us that have kids.

In January, we are inviting the husbands, and we will all have babysitters, for a special sit-down dinner that we are having.

This has worked well for our group, as we can look forward to a "girls nite out" once a month, but include the spouses once in a while.

Cindy - Great ideas. My husband would surely be offended if he wasn't included, since he is the better cook in our family. Between the two of us cooking, we usually eat out/take out/bring home only about once a week. I have adult sitters that could take the kids out - hadn't thought of that.
