Hi everyone. I would love to join ( start?) a supper club in my central NJ area (Marlboro / Manalapan) with people at a similar point of life. I am an empty-nester, employed full time, and find I now have the time to explore all the things I pushed to the "to do later" list. Later is now. Even this board is a learning experience for me... I hope I can find it again after today!!! I'll take help on what to do next from anyone.

Thanks for your reply Kim. It seems there is a group in my exact area, which is Monmouth County, NJ, and they have about 16 people already, so if anyone is interested in starting a new one, just let me know. Meanwhile, I haven't quite figured out how to let them know I'm looking,(since there was no way to reply to their post), but it's way too soon to give up. Since we're expecting 24 inches of snow over the next 2 days, I think I will have LOTS of time.
Thanks again - Andrea

Sorry Kim - I must have been in a coma before - I did find the reply button & did post a reply. Not sure exactly where, but if I hear nothing, I will try again. Thanks again - Andrea

COngrats on your post! GO to the super club exchange thread_Northeast and do a search of your area (search is on the top right hand side of the screen.) If you dont find one already started, Id post your intentions, following the leads of the other posts, city in state in the title.

Good luck!

Kim

This board is a great way to get into a Supper Club, we started one in late August and ALWAYS have a great time. We only select items from CL (mag/books/Great Food). We each bring copies of out recipies and often repeat them for families with GREAT reviews. We look forward to it each month. Check past dates for themes...also, once you tell other people about how you meet, they suddenly seem VERY interested in joining..there are also different styles of meeting set ups...this is ours...the host picks a theme at the previous months meeting, we alternate bringing appetizers/side dishes/desserts in that theme. The host gets all the ingredients for the main dish and we make it when we get there. This is how we do it so nobody feels "over-whelmed". We are in New England so BIG snow is coming here too. Good luck faring through the snow....
