I'm wondering if I'm the only person who is having problems with the MyRecipes.com site--or if the are so many people having problems that they are unable to respond to, or even acknowledge, my requests for help.

I've emailed them twice (over a period of 3 or 4 months) asking for help/advice as I am unable to save recipes, menus, shopping lists, or notes, nor can I rate and review recipes. However, they have not responded to my emails. I expected a customer-service orientation from Cooking Light's corporate sibling, and find the lack of it highly disappointing.

Any suggestions are welcome. This problem occurs using different browsers (Firefox, Internet Explorer, Opera) and operating systems (Windows, Ubunutu Linux).

Thanks.

Welcome to the boards! :)

I can't give you much specific help, except to say that when the CL recipe site became myrecipes.com, I think there were BB threads saying that a lot of people's personal collections were lost. I think you might consider one of the recipe-management software packages, such as MasterCook or Living Cookbook (multiple BB threads discuss pros/cons of each), so that you have full control over your archives and can back them up and always get at them. Hope you get the help you want with myrecipes.com, though, but you might not want to depend on it--if it changes again, you may lose your recipes anyway. Good luck!

Oh--are your computer's cookies turned on for that site? But you probably already thought of that. :o

Yes, I had set each of the browsers to accept all cookies. And I have been using MasterCook, although it was nice have recipes saved online as a backup.

I'm most irritated though, by MyRecipe.com's failure to respond, even if they don't have an answer, either. :(

Thanks.

That's the main reason why I left myrecipes.com and migrated to gourmandia.com, gourmetrecipes.com, and its affiliates.
