Did you all change your names? Gail, saw you made it over here first! Tammy, laura, everyone else?

Just wondering if some changed their names...

Gail

Yep, and I brought my pickled sea beans with me, too!

It's summer. Maybe they're on vacation...

You know, I just read the title of your post. Should I object to being referred to as "an oldie?" http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/rolleyes.gif

I used to post on the old board too and am glad to see some familiar names. I was Susan on the old board too.

I saw Vanessa and lindrusso's posts on one of the "introduction" threads. Guess they made it over to "the other side" as well!

tammy/mn finally posted today, she's been out of touch for a few days, but is back!

Susan, glad you made it!

And Gail, we may be "oldies" (in a sense) but we are certainly "goodies" as well!

=^..^=

Hi, I was Shelley but in order to avoid confusion with Chef Shelley I changed my moniker to Shoyski.

Here I am!!! I am in Sydney, Australia, for the month of June and have not had a chance to check out the new board until now. It looks great, and I cannot wait to spend time on it when I get home. I am in summer school taking two law classes and don't really have lots of time or inclination to sit at the computer in the law library. I'll be back on July 5th, I promise!

Hello.

I was Laura M. on the old board. Actually, I went for that here too, and was too brain fried when I registered to do it correctly
:-)

Don't know if I'm yet considered to be one of the "oldies", but I finally made it here today.

Has anyone seen Zinnia???

Deanna

shoyski (shelley) I'm lauging out loud! I don't think there's any way we could confuse the two of you ... glad to see you here!

Laura B...another adventurer in our midst! I'm really itching to do some traveling, it's been too long for me! Keep us posted on any unusual/interesting food trends in AU! And have a GREAT summer!

Hey Laura M and Kelly! Glad you both made it. Anybody can be an "oldie" if they want to! Haven't seen Zinnia...but hope she will arrive soon.

Good day to everyone!

Yes, I made it to the "other side" as well. I really like the new format and it's fun getting a "fresh start".

Hey, who are you calling old? Sounds like much of the crowd is here, now where is Zinnia?

Glad to see everybody! Anyone heard from Zinnia or CathieA? I was Barbara on the old board, but there seem to be quite a few of us, so I'll try BarbaraL. The new boards seem great! Have a great summer, everyone, and keep the feedback coming!

Okay so I'm not a oldie but I love these new boards. I was always reading the old boards but never really posted on them for the last few months. But now that I've gotten up my nerve... watch out! This is such a great community. Everyone is so helpful and nice. ~mary~

Well, we've almost completed our first work week in our new home and although there may still be some redecorating in order, I'd say it's a smashing success. So to you newcomers, and those who've "crossed over" from the old board, have a great weekend and may the sauce be with you! (Sorry. I just couldn't help it.)

I haven't posted anything here 'cuz I didn't know that I was an "oldie", but it is good to see familiar names as well as unfamiliar -- even if I'm not always sure which is which. Nice to learn something about you all too (CAYA). Can you believe the boards are only a little more than 3 days old? And Gail, the pickled sea beans will always make me smile, along with the green cream filled inch worm cake.

http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/biggrin.gif Hello everyone! I haven't been around
much lately. I saw the new board a couple of days ago, but didn't have time to say hello
to all of you "oldies" (lol!), and you new
people. Well, what do you all think of this new home we have? I like it! See you all soon. http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif Zinnia

P.S. It made my day when I saw my name,
thanks! I've missed everyone too..

Hi all, I too posted on the old board. My user name was Shelly. Hopefully no one confused me with Chef Shelley either. I haven't had much chance to post on the new board because it went up right as I was getting my daughter off for her summer vacation AND preparing to go to Antigua for a friend's wedding. Alas, my Caribbean vacation has ended, but it's nice to be home. I'm really excited about the new board!! Now I just have to learn how to use all the little perks the other one didn't have!!

me too, I thought you really meant oldies. I am 72 and we just celebrated our 50th. Our daughter,49 and looks 29, did all the cooking for 45 guests. noni

I finally made it here, too!

I tried 5 different times on 3 different days to register but for some reason my computer kept crashing before CL accepted my registry. (Could it have something to do with trying to register with a cranky newborn on my shoulder?) I think the new board looks great. Hope all us oldies lose the "junior" status soon!

Hi Marcie! How's that baby doing? Cranky? I don't believe it....

Marcie
06-23-2000, 05:53 PM
Hi Deanna,

Baby and I are fine... can you believe he's 1 month old today? He is a pretty fussy little guy, but not that hostile, miserable colicky type so far. I've discovered that he doesn't like it when I drink cow's milk, so I've been drinking enriched rice milk lately. Such are the sacrifices of us mommies.... But really, I'M the one who pays the price for having a gassy baby!

Marcie: good to hear from you, and NO, I can't believe he's a month old today! How's big brother adjusting (you did say you already had one son, didn't you?).

Rice milk, huh? I've pretty much switched to soy milk and am doing great with it, although I never had any digestive problems with cow's milk. Just wanted to get more SOY!

Hmmmm...just thought of a topic for a discussion thread...

I've been on vacation, so I missed this thread. I think I made it over to the new Board on day one. Because CL has the new signon system I haven't been able to post at home (I don't want 2 board names!), so I only post when I have some time before or after work. I'm glad to see so many "oldies" return- even with new names!
CathieA, another oldie but goodie

Hi CathieA,
I THINK as long as you use the same username and (obviously) the same password, you can post messages from any computer. You don't need to create another username. I use more than one computer and haven't had any problem. You might want to try it! Have a great day.

shoyski

I too, use my computer at work and at home
and seem to have no problem. Your input
is always good, CathieA, so I hope to see more of you.

Deanna

I post from work and home as well, use the same username at both with no problem.

CATHIEA

Hmm. I may have done the wrong password when I tried at home. I was so irked, I didn't try again. So now you know something else about me- I'm a REAL computer nerd!

Tammy! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/eek.gif Hold on a minute!!! My only "baby" is 18 years old, and if he's got a gas problem it ain't my fault!!!
