Now all I need is a Wegmans and I'll be set:D
My husband works for the company that is doing the counter tops for IKEA, so we got to go to the friends/family store preview today for the Sunrise, Florida store! For just a few hours I thought I was back in King of Prussia:D
Of course the store layout is the same...but it's huge, with lots of cool new things...I didn't shop today...just made my list...and it's rather large;)

I find the one in Houston still way too crazy and it's been open for about 10 years! I avoid it like the plague!;)

Both times I've been there it's been first thing when they open which is tolerable.

People have been seriously injured and killed during IKEA grand openings:

Oh I love Ikea....you can get 1000 tea lights for $4 or $5. I need to make a candle run again.

IKEA doesn't have Zodiac, Corian, or Granite...only their laminate and butcher block tops...they're branching out in South Florida:D

I heard that Ikea is coming to Tampa, as well, with the groundbreaking set for early next year. I'm hopeful! I remember that the news bit left me laughing with a reference to Ikea fans as "rabid."...here's a little burb...the Herald Tribune, describes..."The Swedish company -- rabidly followed by those who love its modern, utilitarian furniture..."
:D
enjoy!
editing to add...Wegmans, yes...Wegmans...having lived in Rochester for close to 30 years...I miss Wegmans...

OK, now I'm officially jealous! We just got a Whole Foods in Birmingham, 90 minutes away and a Costco in Montgomery, 60 minutes away! It'll be years until we get an Ikea!

.... What do you mean "the wedding"?
My son Gregory is getting married at the Rusty Pelican overlooking Biscayne Bay in Miami on Saturday evening:D
All of his younger cousins will be in the wedding...it should be a fun day...we love Adrienne, his bride-to-be...he is only 29 and once-divorced...my prayers were answered when he met Adrienne;)
