I got back from my walk today at 9:00. Grabbed a cup of coffee, took a shower, dried my hair, got dressed, and was applying my makeup when I happened to glance at my watch and saw that it was 9:15. I thought it had to be at least 9:30 or so. Now I didn't shave or moisturize, but other than that I did everything else normally. So . . . 15 - 20 minutes for me!
How about you???

15-20 minutes too. And I know this because I go to the gym before work.
I have long hair that I partially dry and wear up pretty much every day. Plus the air is so dry here my hair dries fast anyway so even when I wear it down by the time I get to work it's fine.
I shave my legs in the evening in the sink or tub so I don't have that step.
For makeup I just wear moisturizer, brow pencil, mascara and lip gloss.
I eat breakfast when I get to work.

Are we including time spent in the closet thinking "I have NOTHING to wear?"
Assuming I can find something to wear easily, I take about 20-30 minutes. I like to be a little leisurely about it (I feel like if I rush, it's just a bad start to my day; it's my DH's buddhism rubbing off on me.) My hair is long and thick, and I blow it straight, so that takes 10 minutes minimum. And It's really hard for me to get in & out of the shower in less than about 8 minutes... it just feels so good. And then it's just moisturizer/sunscreen and a little BE powder & blush and some mascara.
I used to be able to get it all done in 15 minutes when my hair was shorter. With the late DST change, that is looking more appealing...

I've got it pinned down to 40 minutes for everything -- breakfast, shower, clothing and make-up. Enough time to do things without rushing.

Lately I've been on a leisurely hour and a half schedule in the morning. That includes time for breakfast and computer time. I can usually get ready in about 20 minutes if need be.

I usually take 45 minutes in the morning, but that's because I iron my clothes before showering. If I hurry, I can make it in 30 minutes. And much quicker if I iron my clothes the night before!

25 minutes when I don't wash my hair, 40 minutes, when I do. And this includes getting dressed, I am not real picky about that, I just pick out something that it doesn't matter if I get engine fluids on it and go.
I re-dress when I arrive back home.

Well, it depends!
To take the kids to school - 2 minutes ;)
To go into work or to lunch with DH (includes taking a shower, washing hair, putting on a minimal amount of makeup - maybe powder, lipstick and mascara) - 15-20 minutes
To go "out" - 25 minutes, since I spend a little longer on hair / makeup, and have to ransack the closet. I factor in at least 5 minutes for wailing and gnashing my teeth because I can't find anything to wear.

20 to 30 minutes because I love a leisurely hot shower. IN a puinch I can be rady in 15 minutes.

Wow! You guys are FAST!!!
It takes me 40 minutes to shower, shave legs, dress and do hair and makeup! And makeup is very necessary for me, as my eyebrows and eyelashes are blonde! Add another 10 minutes, if I have to decide what to wear...:o

This is me too. If I don't wash my hair, I can be ready much more quickly, but when I wash, condition, and dry my long hair, that adds at least 15 minutes to the total get-ready time.

I'm about 40-45 minutes, but it includes feeding the cats, making coffee, checking the weather on the computer, curling my hair, make-up, dressing, making my lunch. . . .until I'm ready to go out the door.

I wish I still had long hair. I miss it sometimes. Except for drying it.
I think if I had to shave and moisturize I'd have to add another 10minutes. I hate, hate, hate shaving. :)

My shower alone can take 20 minutues
face/make-up/hair only take about 8 minutes...
eating breakfast, making coffee, pilling cats, breaking up cat fights, etc. can take another 30 minutes :p

I can't imagine being ready in 15 minutes. I get up at 6:30am on weekdays and I am ready to leave by 8:00am. Just barely. Sometimes I am putting on my jewelry and makeup while my husband drives me to the station.
The shower alone takes me half an hour, and I don't even do anything to my hair! It air dryes even on the coldest winter days! Also, I have no idea where my iron is, so I never do that...
Reading the comics in the newspaper while having breakfast takes me half an hour, than I watch the news to figure out the weather, and by then it's time to get dressed.
If I had to do it all in 15 minutes, or even half an hour, I would have to move at tornado speed.

Well...I get up stumble into the bathroom to go..you know, brush my teeth, and wash my face then off to the office...which is next to the bathroom, turn on the computer, log on to the VPN and I'm off to the races. So about 5 minutes!
I work from home so it doesn't take long and I always shower at night because it helps me sleep better. So I'd say anywhere from 2-5 minutes.
I usually don't even get dressed till noon, if at all. I own more pajamas the clothes. I told my husband if I ever die please burry me in my PJ's!

My above times were also just my own time for getting clean and dressed. If we are talking about out-the-door times, I have factor in monsieur le bébé, which is of course another whole set of variables. ;) :D
wallycat breaking up cat fights made me LOL! That is soooo my sister who has two beautiful but CRAZY cats!

Wow! It generally takes me 60 minutes from the time I wake up to when I go out the door. It takes me about 15-20 minutes just to blow dry my hair straight and then style it!

I can get ready in about 20 minutes, but I prefer to take about an hour. Of course, 40 minutes of that is me locked in the bathroom since my morning shower time is the only time 3 year old DD is kept occupied while having breakfast with DH. I'm not giving up a minute of that if I don't have to!

If we are talking from the time the alarm goes off until I am ready to leave, 45 minutes. But that also factors in making lunch for DS, making sure he is ready, making breakfast, making the bed, tidying up the bathroom. If we are talking just showering, getting dressed etc., I would say about 25-30 minutes. The humidity is so low here that long showers just make me itchy in the end (even though I love them).

ONE FULL HOUR AND THAT DOESN'T INCLUDE EATING ANYTHING! SHOWER, MAKEUP AND HAIR = ONE HOUR! How I wish it could be a 1/2 hour.

If I want to look somewhat pulled together, aka, shower, dry my hair fully, and flat iron. And, put some real effort into and not try to cut corners by not taking enough time to pull it straight (can you say frizzball)..... that can take me at least 1 hour 10 minutes for just shower/hair. Totally hate it.
For years I wore my hair curly and must have been done in less than 25 min for shower/hair.
The rest, breafast, getting dressed, makeup... rather quick.
Today since I am staying in, letting my hair dry naturally. A huge timesaver, but I look like a frizzy mop. Many a thread has been been started by me, looking for suggestions, new hair products etc. It's the crappy hair texture/going grey.
I would love to be ready for the day in less than 30 minutes!!
If we're just talking getting MYSELF ready (as in, showered, dressed, face/hair), it's about 20 minutes. That does not include drying my hair which I usually let air dry. It's long and would take forever to blowdry. I used to spend close to an hour getting ready. I'm so glad I saw a show with the makeup artist Bobbi Brown. She said no woman should spend more than five minutes on her makeup each day. That made me pay attention and quicken the pace a bit (not that I wear much makeup anyway).

I get up at 5:00 and am out the door by 6:30 a.m. But, I do my exercises, then I sit and read the paper, eat breakfast, feed the cats, clean the litter box, get mine and DH's lunch ready, etc. So not counting all that, I can be in the shower and dressed ready to go in probably 25 minutes...completely ready to go!

Too d@mn long, apparently. ;) It takes me about 1 hour and 40 minutes to get out the door from the time my feet hit the floor. I CAN do it faster, but then people end up asking me all day if I'm sick or stressed out, so apparently, the 5-minute make up doesn't work for me.
This time does involve a lot more than getting ready, though. I check work e-mail, personal e-mail, and this board. My shower takes about 10 minutes because I wash my hair. About 7 minutes to do all the skin care layers. About 12 minutes for "real" make-up, the quick version. About 7 minutes to lightly diffuse my curly hair. (40 minutes if I try to straighten.) If I know what I'm wearing, I can be dressed in anywhere from 5-10 minutes, depending on whether I'm wearing nylons and if I don't have to hunt for where I took off my jewelry. Lately, because of a 30-pound weight loss, getting dressed is more like a treasure hunt for something that looks okay and goes together. I've avoided picking up too many new pieces, because I'm not done losing, so sometimes I go through 5 or 6 outfits before I find something I can wear.
I also frequently have to go behind DH when he leaves and be sure the back door is locked, the electronics are turned off, the dog has water, the trash has been taken out on trash days, etc. Then there's putting my lunch together, gathering up all my work crap that I fell asleep working on the night before, yadda, yadda, yadda.
I want a 15-minute out the door routine!

One hour from alarm clock to car.
That includes feeding 16 sheep and 8 horses, plus taking the dog out. It does not include breakfast, which I pack the night before and eat at the office.
Add me to the "blow-dries long hair" list.

Ok you 20 and 30 minute shower people - what in heaven's name are you doing in there? Don't you get all...wrinkly? Or is it just better left unsaid. ;)
Right back at ya! Are you all cats who touch the water and jump out? Do you use soap? Let's see...a couple of minutes are wasted just getting the water hot enough, and then regulate it so it's not TOO hot. Then wash hair, apply conditioner. Rub soap on washcloth, rub washcloth on several body parts (while reapplying soap as needed). Rinse. Shave legs. Wash between toes.
Soap up face and then turn face towards water to get it all off. Rinse off conditioner. Turn off water, squeeze hair.
Step out of tub on one foot to grab towel and retreat to the warm shelter of the shower, and dry off (maybe you guys don't dry yourselves? that can be bad, you know?). Wrap towel around hair while applying deodorant, powder, lotion, face cream. Brush hair.
This all takes about half an hour. I can't imagine where I would cut steps to make this shorter!

Ditto. My alarm goes off at 6; unless it's a running day (I leap out of bed with anticipation) I hit snooze until either 6:18 or 6:27. Then, let's see. I have a shower (and my showers are pretty quick. Fifteen minutes tops if I shave my legs; maybe ten minutes otherwise). Get dressed -- depends. Sometimes includes long stares at my closet thinking either "I'm sick of all this" or (lately) "Do I dress for fall, or for high summer?" Usually not more than ten or fifteen minutes though. Seven-ish, make breakfast -- this is where the timesuck is. Twenty to thirty minutes making breakfast, and I pack my lunch (from leftovers) while breakfast components cook. Then eat breakfast, dither about talking for a while, and head for work about five minutes later than I should've left, at about ten after eight.

Get naked, turn on shower and brush teeth. Shower correct temp by the time teeth are brushed. Get in, get all wet, shampoo hair, rinse out (I have very short hair), put on conditioner, shave legs, underarms and anywhere else needed - soap up entire body, scrub, rinse, rinse out conditioner, step out. Voilla! All in about 10 minutes! :D

Let's see here, I get up at 6:30 and am ready to go out the door by 7:45 BUT my time isn't all about me:
I get up, shower, wash hair, get out, put in leave in conditioner, brush my teeth, moisturize and put in the ol' contact lens and that's 10 min. tops (15 if I've had to shave). I only wear mascara so that doesn't really even factor in.
I always pull out my clothes the night before so I literally walk out of the bathroom and throw my clothes on, put on my shoes and am ready to walk downstairs and out the door if I had to.
Coffee is already brewing so as I come downstairs I put water in a pot along with oatmeal & cinnamon - turn it on low, grab a quick cup of coffee, hook the dog up and take her out to...well you know...come back in and by that time the oatmeal is just ready to have some attention paid to it and DH is walking down the stairs at this point.
We eat breakfast and he sits there watching a few minutes of TV before heading out the door with his lunch that I made up the night before and I clean up the kitchen, grab my lunch and away we go.
The getting dressed and ready is the easy stuff - if I could only get the dog to do her business in a regular time frame it would be GREAT!:D

:o Except for the brushing teeth part while waiting for the water temperature to stabilize (I wait on the water in the shower during parts where I don't have to be under the water, like lathering up the hair) my routine/steps are the same. I wash my face after rinsing out the conditioner, and then I'm out. Somehow it takes me 20-25 minutes...

Hee! :D Ok - granted, I don't bother shaving my legs every day, especially in the winter, so that cuts off a few minutes. And I brush teeth / put in contacts while the water is warming up. And I use one of those dish sponges masquerading as a "body pouf" - which I swear really does make things go a lot faster. Oh - and I don't need to get out of the warm shower to grab a towel because I throw mine over the door before I start. Other than that, I have the same routine! I seriously think the body pouf is essential to a speedy shower. I even travel with one b/c I can't stand using a washcloth at hotels. :o
back in the day when I had to get out the door to go to work --- it took me about 15 min. But I layed everything out the night before. Even with long hair, but my hair is thin. I set up coffee the night before, pick out clothes ngiht before, make lunch night before and add a granola bar or yogurt for breakfast but usually didn't eat breakfast.... alarm goes off, get out of bed get showered, dressed, make up (minimalist make up) and do hair. Go to kitchen, fill coffee go-cup, grab lunch and out the door. DONE. My whole life I have had people comment on how quickly I get ready. I made it work for me because I value my sleep. :p
Now I pretty much work 24 hours a day as a SAHM, but the routine is pretty much the same, only it happens several hours later - the getting showered and dressed part. That happens after the little one is changed, fed, played with, DH is off to work and I have checked the computer and responded as needed.... and found something to keep DS occupied while I shower. Which is usually a pile of books on the bathroom floor.

Let's see:
Up at 5:30 to have my first cuppa, and read e-mails, both home and work
If it's an exercise day, on my bike by 6:10
Wake up Bryan around 6:30, get his first cuppa, and we both jump in the shower:D
after shower, Bryan goes to read e-mails, checks his train board, and finish his cuppa
I dry my hair and do my face routine (not make-up...anti-aging products:D )
By 7 - 7:15, I'm in the kitchen making breakfast and lunches
Bryan out the door by 7:45
I now can leisurely decide what to wear, do my make-up, clean up the kitchen, decide on dinner, check work e-mails again, take my supplements...
I'm usually out-the-door by 8:45-9...the later I leave, the easier my drive down I-95 is because of less traffic...and I'm usually pulling into the parking lot at work by 9:30.

We typically wake up about 6:45 am. We're out the door at 7:40 am. That time includes me showering/ drying hair / makeup / dressing and then also making the weeone's lunch / making sure she's dressed / helping with her hair / feeding both of us / double checking her backpack that she has everything she's supposed to have! I think we're pretty fast all things considered!
Oh, and I usually check email and this board in the am too.
