I've been doing much more lurking than posting lately, and I just managed to catch up on the "So CA where are you" fires thread. I thought it was pretty amusing to see that Robyn had posted an aerial photo of the fires that was the same photo that arrived in my email from someone in another location of my company. Her post mentioned the same things that the email did: the location of the fires in relation to the L.A. and Lake Forest offices. Hmm. We have a Denver location, too.
Robyn and I actually work for the same company! We've been chatting over PMs and laughing about it!
Do you have any odd BB connections?

First, it's nice to "see" you, Colleen - I've noticed your absence.
Nothing quite like your great "small world" connection, but I did once post a question and get a response of, "I can't answer your question, but did you go to [x] high school? Friends with [x]?" With a name like mine, I guess it was inevitable. And hi, Tena! ;)

Colleen, I just remembered that your birthday is the day before mine too! Very strange! :D

Thank you, Canice. It's nice to be missed. :)
Robyn, I totally forgot that our birthdays are so close together. (*humming* It's a Small World)

Colleen - I miss you too! Good to see you!
In December we're headed to Florida for the band to play in the Macy's parade. I won't have you to pick me up from the airport or have such an amazing mall to go shopping.
Wendy where are you? I miss you too!

The first supper club I belonged to from this board had a woman that lived two blocks away and worked across the street from my office...but we had to meet in cyberspace

Well, collency, I have seen your username pop up around LiveJournal - not a direct relation, but friends of friends type thing. (My username is the same over there, too.)
Also, susan_foster and I post at another messageboard and tend to follow each other around.

A few years ago, when I was taking my kids up for Halloween at their dad's house, I learned that LaraW lived about a block away from my ex. As it turned out, my DD ended up babysitting for her from time to time.

Muriel3002 and I found out that her SIL and brother (or is it BIL and sister?) attend the church I used to attend. This BIL (or brother) did the inspection my my current home.
Breadmama and I found out that her and I attended the same elementary school.

GabbyH and I have a very slim 'small world' connection. Before she moved to Florida, she lived in Bethlehem, PA (most of her life, perhaps??) My dad's family lives there. Soon after she moved to Florida, I visited some relatives in Bethlehem. She told me her best friend owned a jewelry store in downtown. I stopped by and told them that Gail said hi! :D Though I've never met Gail, I did meet her best friend!

I used to work with a guy at AOL whom Canice knows from highschool (?). Correct me if I'm wrong Canice. But that was years and years ago. I can't even remember his name.

Thinking, thinking, thinking (it was about 5 years ago).
His name was unusual, begins with a T. Talon?
This is where I say "Oh crap, I think that was Canice who knew him."
I'm going back to sleep now. :D

Canice is the Kevin Bacon of the BB. Perhaps that's why I think it was she who knew that guy at my work....

It turns out that Kellie (Sigmaration), LakeMartinGal's DD1, works with one of DH's friends.

Canice is the Kevin Bacon of the BB.
I guess so because Canice lives near the woman who works with DH's friend! :D

It was simple really because on the thread where she introduced herself she told us where she works. I knew DH's friend had left the company DH works for (and I used to work for) to go to that company up north. I PM'd her to see if she knew the guy and she does.
The last time the guy visited and DH was hanging out with him I asked DH if he asked his friend about Kellie. Of course he forgot....

"The Kevin Bacon of the BB" - that is the funniest thing I've heard all week. :p

Canice, you should totally change your tagline to that from "Soup on Sundays" :D
As for me, I can't think of any connections...
