I feel like such a Cooking Light BB junkie! I have tried pretty often over the past few days to read the posts, only to discover that there weren't any new ones. I'm glad to see that the problem has been taken care of! Hope you all made lots of new recipes over the long holiday weekend so we can read your reviews!

Mrs Reber-hope your spinach dip turned out okay! Last I read you had just refrigerated it for your party! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

Hi Sue! I, too, was going crazy all weekend! The spinach and artichoke dip was very good, but as was pointed out, it is very thick. I warmed up some leftovers yesterday and added a little sour cream and it was perfect!

Talk about being addicted, I'm very new to this and when I couldn't use it for a couple of days I thought maybe eveyrone took the weekend off!!

I have to say, it is nice to hear that other people are as addicted to this board as I am! What a feeling of disappointment not being able to access the board over the weekend. Anyway, I am so glad it is up and running, especially since I now have internet access in my classroom. I do enjoy visiting during my planning period (never mind that I now have to take home even more stacks of essays to grade!!) http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

Great to hear everyone is back and we will be posting again. I missed it over the weekend. I made a swiss steak recipe which was glorious over egg noodles. I am anxious to make some new recipes this week.

Well, I'll be darned! Here I thought everyone was busy doing their thing this weekend and that's why there was no posting. I didn't even try to post thinking that was why. Didn't realize the board was down. http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/biggrin.gif

As long as everyone is admitting to addiction, I'll join the chorus. Here's how bad it was: even though I knew no one would be around at CL over the weekend to fix whatever was wrong with the boards, I still kept checking in every couple of hours just in case....

It was agony! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/eek.gif But it's so good to be back here again with everyone.

Cheers, Phoebe

I had been tied up for a week and couldn't get on line and I was really looking forward to the long weekend so that I could get on line and catch up. When I tried to post and it wouldn't let me I thought it was something that I had done then I noticed nobody was posting. Thank goodness all is back to normal. It has been too long for me and it's good to be back. Sneezles, welcome and I love the name. Isn't this an easy addiction?

Yes, welcome sneezles!

I knew something was wrong by Friday afternoon. This board is so active that it's almost unheard of to go even a few hours without a post of some sort! No way would no one post for 3 whole days! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif Ahhhhh, no more withdrawal.....

I too have become very addicted to this board! I access it at work and I now find myself coming in early just to see what happened the night before! I also now find myself devoting my lunch hour to reading the board. I'm glad I'm not the only one who goes through a little withdrawal when they can't get their CL BB fix!

Oh, good, I'm not the only one who reads the BB while eating lunch at work! I can't believe how addictive this thing is!

And sometimes it's not just at lunch that I sneak a peek at the board! It makes a good little break in the middle of some tedious paperwork.

Hi,

I don't know about being addicted to the BB, but it sure is a good Bulliten Board and I do enjoy reading what all of you post to it.

I was kind of disappointed too when I couldn't post a reply or a new topic and saw that there had been no action on the BB since the 1st.

I sent an e-mail to CL telling them about the problem and asking how I could get around it before I realized no one was able to post on it. They were good enough to reply to me, I was surprised, and I'm glad they did.

I don't always have the time to check out the BB every day, but I sure do enjoy it when I can visit it.

I'm also addicted to this board! I check it more than my email. Everyone is so friendly and helpful and the recipes and reviews are super!

Phoebe - are we sick, or what?!!!

I did the same thing - I kept checking even though I knew it wouldn't be fixed until Tuesday! My poor husband had to listen to me moan and complain all weekend about how the board was down. Oh well, I guess if I'm going to be addicted to something, it might as well be something as fun and useful as this board!

Grace, I wouldn't say "sick." How about dedicated? indefatigable? eternally hopeful?

Well, okay, sick. http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/biggrin.gif But it's such fun.

I am eating my lunch right now reading the board -- I too am addicted. The recipe reviews are fantastic and help me chose which to try and which to steer clear from . . . and everyone is so personable and nice! The BB really is enjoyable.

I believe hacking IS his hobby. Maybe he needs to start cooking.

I am going away for three days to VA, so I will have withdrawal again! I'm sure I'll come back to many interesting posts, though. I learn so much here and have tried so many good recipes that people have posted! I'll miss everyone.

he he. I an I thought I was the only one who was addicted. I admit that I did notice that other work-outside-the-home people are posting during *work* hours (maybe just to make myself feel better?). Of course, I can say that my CL bulletin board time is at some level "work-related" for me.

Addicted?? Guilty as charged! I didn't realize the BB was down this weekend, but I DID notice the lack of postings. Made me feel quite sad and lonely! Glad we're all back and running! I missed ya!

Who knew??? I've been at Cooking Light for six years now and have literally talked to thousands of our readers--By fax, by phone, e-mail, you name it--but I have to tell you guys that I find the enthusiasm on the boards overwhelming. I just have really started to figure out who everyone is in the past couple of days, but I have a feeling that we have as much to learn from you guys as you do from us! I'm going to try to keep a close eye on things and try to be there to get you anything you need, but it seems that you guys are so willing and eager to help each other that my services will never be needed! Thanks for reassuring me that what we do really does matter!

I am with you all. I was frantic this weekend, and my husband really didn't get it. Anyway, I just read the reason behind this and I have one question......
What kind of idiot hacks a board about cooking? I mean, this is a great asset to those of us looking to exchange ideas and stories, but to hack it? That person needs to get a hobby........He cost CL time and money and made a great many people angry. Good going guy!

Stacey!
Thanks for making us feel so special. Its really good to know that CL takes an interest in what we have to say. Please jump in any time you see something that you can add to!

Yep, this is a wonderful place to be each morning, afternoon, nightime...anytime! Love this board and all that is connected with it! Like I said, I really thought everyone was away and I too was bumming thinking I was the only one home for the weekend.

Stacey...its nice to hear another voice from Cooking Light administration. Maelynn and Lisa are always there for us whenever we need them or have questions and we appreciate it. http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif If CL has reward programs then they certainly deserve one. http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif So welcome and come back often! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

That was my thought. Poor guy probably didn't have a mom to bake warm chocolate chip cookies to serve with cold milk. Let's start him on a salsa with lots of chopping, or Deanna's gazpacho would work...maybe beer can chicken would relieve some of the day's frustrations, especially when called by some of it's other names (my husband and I got a chuckle out of those).
