This week NBC is talking about going green and their shows are highlighting ways to go green. Right now I'm watching Biggest Looser and they are talking about things like recycling, working out that doesn't require electricity, eating organic etc.
In another instance of major companies doing things to focus on bettering our planet and our health, Vail Resorts (so this is Vail, Beaver Creek, Keystone, Breckenridge and Arapahoe Basin in this area) and Intrawest (Copper, Steamboat Springs and Winter Park) are using 100% wind energy to power their resorts and Vail Resorts just announced that they will be serving all naturally raised hormone free meat and organic dairy in all their resorts this year. Vail Resorts has also partnered up with another company to provide free lift tickets to those that sign up for wind energy in their homes.
So, it makes me wonder, what else are big companies doing to support going green? I think it will help all of us to support these companies if we hear about what they are doing. Anyone got anything to share?
