I did a search for this month's bread thread and I came up empty-handed. I can't be the only one making bread!

This morning I baked an experimental batard: Sourdough Roasted Grape (raisin) Rosemary. I was too lazy to pick up raisins at the store, and I conveniently had some grapes in the refrigerator, so I roasted the grapes last night, kneaded a standard bread dough (starter, 20% bran flour, water, salt) and added fresh rosemary and roasted grapes at the very end. I let it rise for 1 1/2 hours, sit in the fridge until the wee hours of the morning, and then I woke myself at 4:20 to take the dough from the fridge to continue the rise (until 5:50 a.m.). Only the love of bread will wake me at 4:20. Anyhow, at 7:35 this morning I pulled my roasted grape and rosemary batard from the oven, dashed off to work, and I cannot wait to try it tonight!

Thanksgiving baking is just around the corner!

I made the Taos Pumpkin Bread last weekend. I was really impressed with the way it turned out...it looked as if I actually knew what I was doing and it even tasted good!! :D

i'm making one of those sage-crusted cornmeasl breads that been going around lately-- this one is from Traunfeld's Herbal Kitchen, and has feta. Will post it later if it turns out. For T-day, I'm doing BA' s cornmeal cranberry quick bread, looks good and not too sweet, has some WW flour too.

Do let us know how that turns out, I've been eying that one.

I haven't done much baking lately, have not had the energy. :( But we're out of sandwich bread, so I have some rising (very slowly in my cold apartment) now. Nothing fancy. This weekend we're having "soup night" as my supper club theme, so I need to make something to go along... hm, maybe focaccia? It's been a while since I made it.

I have a warped sense of laziness. I'd rather do things the hardway and chalk it up to laziness. ;)

Well, I finally got off my bum yesterday and did some baking. I did go with focaccia -- a T&T from the KAFBC, and a CL recipe for Pumpkin-Walnut Focaccia with Gruyère, which I had never made before. The smell during baking it was very strong due to the powerful cheese, but it turned out quite well, and both received compliments at our dinner.
