I love tea! As far as coffee goes I am strictly a "social" drinker as I only drink coffee occasional and only when I am out with other people. I usually drink english breakfast or oolong. I like green tea, but for some reason if I drink it too often it seems to give me an upset stomach.

I started using loose tea about two years ago and it does make a difference. I have a plastic basket infuser that fits into a mug so that I can make just one cup at a time. The infuser cost about four dollars. I also have a larger tea pot with an infuser made by Bodum. Right now we are getting our tea from a company called Adagio. We order over the internet although I don't have the url handy (my husband did the ordering).

I love to drink tea- but only decaf and mostly herbal teas. My all time favorite is peppermint. It makes me feel so cozy. Must be memories of when I was much younger. Lemon zinger is good, too, and I recently tried apple-cranberry. These are all Celstial Seasonings teas, although I do on occasion try other brands. Hate Lipton decaf, which is all they supply at work. I tried cinnamon, but didn't like it much. I have a ton of peppermint leaves growing outside, but I haven't figured out how to make them into a cup of tea! I am working on it. I guess I just need to dry them? I never tried loose tea, but after seeing Mary's comments, it looks like I should give it a try.

Tea is great. I like jasmine with CHinesse food. Also Celestial Seasoning tea is great. The orange one.cinnamon etc. I like tea with honey. They are great also as cold tea.
I bought a one person tea pot it is great to enjoy tea. A friend made me a tea cover warmer for my big tea pot....
Tea must be "in" now as people are opeming tea houses etc. Many hotels also have tea time with scones etc... http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

Oh, I do love tea! I have to admit that most days I am a Plain Jane tea drinker. I ususally drink at work so to avoid the mess I stick to tea bags...either Lipton or Tetley most of the time. My favorite tea is Celestial Seasonings English Breakfast. It has black tea in it so its very flavorful (I typically prefer darker teas). I always put sugar in my tea, but never milk. I've also learned that like using loose tea, better water also makes better tea.

On the weekends etc, I'll sometimes enjoy loose tea with crumbcake, scones or cookies of some sort. Another favorite is to have tea and brownies with creamcheese frosting. No fancy recipe here - we are talking about the box variety brownies. I like it because if I'm having brownies with creamcheese frosting you can be sure I'm eating them with a good friend. I guess that is what comes to mind when I think of drinking tea. It not what I have with the tea or what kind of tea -- its who I'm drinking the tea with! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

My only pet peeve about being a tea drinker is hotel/resturant tea. Have you ever been somewhere and they serve the hot water in a carafe that was previously used for coffee? Yick! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/tongue.gif I'm not a fan of coffee flavored tea......

I love Constant Comment in the winter with a plate of ginger cookies. During the summer, I live on Boston Tea's Apricot Tea as Sun Tea. I have a metal "egg" infuser for fixing a pot of tea and a small spoon infuser for just one-cup. I like Earl Grey or Gunpowder teas if I'm going to have a black tea.

Oh wonderful tea!! I love it strong, black and hot! English Breakfast in the AM, and a Darjeeling after dinner. My caffeine sensitive husband just sighs with envy when I sometimes retire with a good mystery novel and a mug of steaming hot tea! And aren't all the recent reports of tea's anti-oxidant qualities just great! As if I needed another excuse to put the kettle on!
The Republic of Tea has some wonderful selections. Pricey, but they are always on my birthday list.

I am a tea lover too. I enjoy both loose teas and tea bags depending on my mood and also tend to drink more tea in the cool months. There is nothing better than to sit with a nice hot pot of tea on a snowy or rainy day. http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif When I need to unwind I will make a cup of chammomile (sp). One of my favorites as you all know is decaf Chai tea by Stash Tea (tea bag) with frothed milk (using my favorite gadget). http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif Another favorite is Mother's tea (loose) by Whittard. This tea is a wonderful tea for those quiet moments. It is a black tea with oil of bergamont. I have other teas that I like: Jasmine with Rose Petals (loose), Earl Gray from Harrods that a friend brought back from England, herbal teas and of course the good old standby that I drink at work, Lipton.

Of course anytime that I have a cup of tea it is made in a porclean tea pot and a bone china cup is a must. Tea just does not taste the same unless in a china cup. http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/biggrin.gif http://www.annieshomepage.com/coffcup.gif

JOANIEB-Heath and Heather is also my favorite, I love all theie flavors. Oddly enough for a long time I could buy their tea at a local sporting goods store (somewhere btwn the hunting equipment and the fishing gear!?).

I also really like Tazo tea. They have a great orange tea that is different then any other I've tried.

I definately think tea tastes better from a pot, probably a mental thing, but its so nice to pour a cup from my blue enamel pot with yellow daiseys on it http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

I love all teas -- English Breakfast Tea, Darjeeling, Earl Grey are all favorites and lately Green Tea has been refreshing. I use both tea bags and loose tea depending on my time and mood of the moment. One of my pet peeves is a restaurant that serves a pot of hot water and 1 tea bag. Then if you want another cup, they replace the water but not the teabag. Some places charge for a second teabag but will pour, free of charge, an infinite number of cups of coffee for a coffee drinker!

Thanks for starting this topic! MY VERY, VERY favorite tea is an impossible-to-find, imported from Scotland (Heath & Heather label) Wild Raspberry herbal fruit & herbal tea, in a bag! Very tangy and fruity, delicious w/honey! Has hibiscus, apple peels & pieces, orange peels, and of course, raspberries! NOTHING else I've found compares, even at speciality shops! (Always had an urge to snack on Cheese-Nips(!) with this tea!!!) A friend shared some years ago from a speciality food shop in Philly, and I've been addicted since! I've been rationing my last box for a year now! Will generously reimburse any locators for a shipment!

I enjoy a good cup of tea as well. Two of my favorites are The Republic of Tea's Ginger Peach and Wagner's Apricot. And just in case nobody has picked up on it yet, my favorite thing with a cup of tea is SCONES.
For some good recipes checkout the previous threads on these BBs.

MMMM. On a stormy day like today (well, at least here it is...)I love tea, with a drizzle of honey and milk.
Breakfast teas are wonderful (I use to LOVE Constant Comment and Earl Grey)
Citrus teas don't thrill me
I adore Chammomile and Jasmine for the times I really need to relax.
Things that are fun to throw in:
(canceling out my statement about citrus)lemon peel or orange peel
I've been know to add a little oj or other juice
Mint Sprig
Cream..for really stormy days or when I need to sleep

Oh yes, and I LOVE LVOE Love warm Chai Lattes
