Ok, I've been waiting all day for somebody to start a thread... if there is one out there, I can't find it. I don't normally start these as I can't remember anybody name yet (too many people), but thought it was a good start for the season. The young man who did the plaid, although a little strange, I think will be a contender! Like the winner and didn't like the loser, so hurrah! What did you all think?????? Come on........

I think they could have sent two people home. I wonder if they kept the one they did (I can't remember the names either!) because of the entertainment value of her particular brand of CRAZY, or because, despite the trainwreck quality of her design, she actually demonstrated decent skills. . .

Even though three of them were too weird for me, and I believe they ended up being the bottom three, the others have real potential to make this the best season ever! They seem to have more talent and experience than the previous contestants. I'm looking forward to the next episode!

this season does seem like the most talented. but i dont think theres any one contestant yet that you could define immedaitely as the star of the show like Santino. maybe that woman who was almost eliminated well be the one.

I definitely think this had to be at least part of the reason for keeping her. It makes the show more interesting to have one who is a little "out there!"
I loved the first episode. The guy who looks like a punk rocker from the 80's will be fun to watch too, though I hated that plaid getup that he designed.

AHHHHh nice to have it back again.....
I am surprised that I am the first one to mention this, but.....
Was it only me that noticed the contestants were newer but, simular to previous years contestants
Chris = Jay McCarroll
Elisa = Angela from last year
Jack = Robert
Christian = Jeffrey
Rami = Laura Bennett
Steven = Michael Knight
I could go on....but, then you would all start to wonder about me, instead of them -

The elimination was obvious -- the woman's dress was boring, ugly and not well executed -- Kors commented that it had a dress in the dark quality -- i.e. the jacket and dress were appalling together.
The marionette maker with the train actually executed the "dress" part well. I believe Kors commented how difficult it was to do something all on one seam -- and there were comments on how they liked the sleeves and the actual line of the dress.
The lingerie dress was boring but well executed. If he doesn't step up his act, he will go shortly but he certainly was more worthy than the one who got the hook.

i thought the winning dress was gorgeous (sans flower - it was a little big) and i also LOVED the one that the theatrical designer did - the purple and green one. the babydoll dress was nice, but it looked like something i'd wear, not something that's made for a runway. and i didn't like the mesh village people-esque hats that he was wearing. ;)
christian drives me NUTS!! i hated his audition, and he's just soooo cocky! i didn't like his dress at all - especially the crooked sleeves. the way the skirt gathered on the side bugged me too. ick.
it looks like the most accomplished group ever, so i'm really excited to see this season unfold! sadly, i'm going to be out of town visiting my mom next week, and she doesn't have bravo (how dare she! :p ) so i'm gonna have to watch it when i get back (yay for DVR!).
and heidi's "looks like the dress was poo-ing fabric" comment made me cry from laughing so hard!

I'm SO excited it's back! I agreed with the judges for the most part.
For anyone who missed it, there's a good recap here:

I totally agree! This guy is gonna be very entertaining! But.....his plaid design was horrible. It looked very dated to me.
Love the players and so glad the show is back!:)

I agree whirled peas...definitely a lot of repeat personalities. It's a little bizarre.
Christian works my last nerve and he is absolutely not original...to me he's channeling vivienne westwood all the way who he worked for? Studied with?
My early season faves are Chris and Rami (who won the challenge). I also like Kit.
What bugs me is a lot of these peeps are pretty established...long gone is the diy feel of the show.
