ISO: side dishes to go with mexican chicken casserole

I am having a large family gathering on Wednesday and thought I would whip up the CL Mexican Chicken Casserole but can't think of any sides to go with it. Of course, there are always the usual rice and beans but have any of you served anything else with this dish?

This is one of my favorite casseroles! I typically serve it with a side of black beans and chips/salsa/sour cream. What about sauteeing or grilling some veggies as a side--squash, zucchini, onions, peppers, etc. ??

I really enjoyed the couscous and black bean salad from the recipe finder. The tangy orange flavour really sets it apart. This would be a nice pairing.
