It always seems to come in groups, doesn't it.

First, I noticed that the library shelving that I had put in last year is starting to bow under the weight of the books. The company who put it in, sent somebody to "survey" the problem (only they told me that he would be able to fix it so I removed a library full of books and now they are taking over two floors in my house). They are finally coming November 30th to fix all of my shelves.

Then I got a new work laptop and cannot get it to print to my wireless printer. Have the Geek Squad coming November 25th.

Now, my water softener is not working. Cleaned the venturi valve, but still not working. Went through the online diagnostics . . . said in order to fix the problem need to call . . . you guessed it . . . a technician to come.

In the meantime, I have had some furniture deliverred that cannot go where it is suppose to because 2 floors have books on them. And I need to start decorating for Christmas next week even though I cannot put the tree where it goes because that is where the furniture is that should go in the room that it cannot go in because of the books on the floor.

And I will be wrapping my Xmas gifts, starting next weekend. Even though my room that I typically use for wrapping is one that I cannot get into because of all of the books on the floor.

Oh, and of course I am having a dinner party 1 December. Which means that I have to find the 3 hours it takes to move all of the books back that day along with dog agility class (which I love and cannot miss) and getting the furniture that was delivered where it is suppose to go, and getting ready for the party. :(

Stupid, stupid, repairs. Can't wait to find out when I can get a repair person for the water softener.

Oh, and lucky me, my work has an offsite the 27th & 28th which means I will have to be staying at a hotel those nights. Just adding to my general sense of chaos these next two weeks.

Whew! Got that off my chest. I feel better now.:o well, a little bit.

WOW - I have had several things pile up like that on me, but not at this time of year!

Don't have any advice for you, just my best wishes in dealing with it all!

Well, if misery loves company, we can have a repair fest. My dryer has gone out on me again. I should have called earlier when it was just now and then, but I was too busy and now it's everytime. The upstairs AC is out, My cooktop smelss like it has a tiny gas leak (not good with Thanksgiving coming( and I noticed the window of the control panel on my new oven is fogging. My new vent hood panel is still not in and I have several fixes for them when they finally come to do that. I'm not to buying, much less wrapping, gifts. We will get through this, but for now, I hope you feel better knowing you're ahead of me on that score. ;)

Since I am on a roll, I decided to go ahead and call my home warranty company:

They do cover the fact that my self cleaning oven doesn't clean itself. So they will be sending somebody for that. I really would rather have a new oven . . . but that costs $$.

They do cover that my hot water heater isn't heating enough unless I turn it up (which is ok, but can't keep doing that!!). And will cover my leaking shower and leaking sink (sporadically leaking, but since the plumber is coming for the other, figured would have him do it all). So a different guy will be coming for that.

They do not cover the broken seal on my double pane window. So I will hold off on that one. It is a sliding glass door and if I have to replace the window, I am tempted to replace the doors with a different style.

Water softener repair guy from Sears is coming on Wednesday. And I have an appt to take Gigi to the vet later that day (anal glands, and one of her eyes is looking hazy).

Oh, and I have noticed some weird dirt piles in my yard. Can't seem to figure out what they are. More granular than I thought ant hills were. Too small for what I thought gopher or moles would have. I don't think it would be termites since I had a termite inspection in May and the guy didn't find any. Besides this tends to be in grass that gets more shade and so doesn't get very dry. Can't figure out who to even call for this one. Will just try applying some stuff to the top of the lawn.

At this rate, I should have a stress free December!! I hope Santa thought I was a good girl this year. ;)

Don't jinx my dryer!!! It has always squeaked (came with the house), and over time it is drying more and more poorly.

Maybe the AC won't be needed for awhile? Give you time to have it fixed at your leisure.

I hate when new appliances have problems! it is so frustrating to get a new oven and then have something like that happen.

I do feel better knowing that I have the major Christmas shopping done. Thank Goodness! And I am glad that I am staying home over Thanksgiving break so that I can get some yard landscaping chores done. And when I hit December, I will just be so happy that everything is working and my house is put back in order.
