We have a contract with a somewhat small company a couple of hours up the road. Have never dealt with the office staff except over the phone and through faxes.
I would like to get the office staff a Christmas gift. I have no idea how many work in the office and who works out of it regularly. I was thinking a vVrginia Peanuts, maybe the double dipped peanuts and double dipped cashews and maybe chocolate dipped brickle.
Any idea of how much to buy since my intent is for the office to open the gift and share? Do you think a 20 ounce container of each would be enough to say: "We appreciate you."
I'm stumped.

Our office has always given holiday giftwrap. We get it from a company named Richwrap. It's very nice, it comes in a large box and the box has 6 rolls of paper, matching ribbon, bows, and name cards/stickers. The customers love it, because they don't have to go out and buy wrapping paper for Christmas.
I will try to attach a link to the product. I will also attach a link to the company. Click on the small numeral at the top to show the different boxes and variety of paper.

That is a really good idea, and I (personally) would love it....but since we aren't sure of the number of employees, I am not sure it would work for us. Hopefully this is something we could do next year as we will be more familiar with the company and the size of their office staff...
We were thinking of something edible they could put in the breakroom or something...it is the quantity that I am concerned with.

I think your idea is a good one. It's a very nice thank-you gift.

The only thing I think you might want to consider is that it sounds like everything will be chocolate dipped which you might want to reconsider as some people don't like or have allergies to chocolate. Maybe one of the nuts as plain? Otherwise I think it's a great idea.

If there is one person you speak with in the office more than another, I would just try and strike up a casual conversation.
Something like "hey Denise it just occured to me I don't know much about your office. Can you tell me more about it" if they don't offer a total # of workers just ask they'll just think you're curious. AND always remember it is always the thought that counts!

Lots of people have nut allergies, these days... We've always had good luck with, and have appreciated the big popcorn tins! We've used The Popcorn Factory (http://www.thepopcornfactory.com/productform.asp?section_id=0&search_type=s_collection&search_value=1665&sc=1002&body_sc=1002&LinkText=Holiday%20Gifts) This link is to their corporate gift section. Hope that helps -- I wish someone would send some to me, but then I'd just eat it!:p :D

The popcorn tins are a good idea, too.....wasn't there a thread about this candy flavored popcorn once? Or chocolate covered popcorn or something?
I will try to search it out and may go that popcorn route....thanks for the idea.

Try Dale & Thomas Popcorn (http://www.daleandthomaspopcorn.com/).
We've used the Popcorn Factory linked in LakeMartinGal's thread. Never tried the Dale & Thomas, but have been tempted.

I think there are other combinations of goodies on their website as well -- and there's always cookies!;) or cheese trays with crackers...

I wouldn't over think this as gifts of food are very standard gifts to a whole office.
I wouldn't worry about allergies or personal likes or dislikes as long as one is buying food that is "normal". People are either going to eat it or not eat it -- one can't predict what one person's taste will be -- someone might be on a diet anyway.
I also wouldn't worry about the quantity -- as it is more about the amount of money you want to spend on the corporate gift.
One of the most popular holiday food gifts used to be Mrs. Beasley muffin packages -- Perhaps there is a bakery in the area that could deliver something like that although Mrs. Beasley does I think have a national presence -- shipping is expensive though I believe.

I definitely agree with blazedog, I wouldn't get to hung up on likes/dislikes/allergies....if that was the case we'd just be sending everyone a case of bottled water.:D

How ironic that you would ask this question, Peggy C.:
If there is one person you speak with in the office more than another, I would just try and strike up a casual conversation.
One of the Office Staff called today to enquire what type of business we are, (small, minority or woman owned) so I engaged her in a conversation and was able to find out how many employees are in the office, without letting the cat out of the bag!
There are 25 employees, so we decided on this gift. Hopefully, there is something there for everyone!
Reusable wicker basket contains:
20 oz tin Virginia Peanut Brittle, 20 oz. Chocolate Covered peanut Brittle, 20 oz. Salted Virginia Peanuts, 24 oz. Double Dipped Chocolate Covered Peanuts, 10 oz. Honey Toasted Cashews, 10 oz. Salted Jumbo Cashews, 10 oz. Chocolate Covered Cashews, 10 oz. Chocolate Covered Pecans, 10 oz. Chocolate Pecan Turtledoves, 8 oz. Cinnamon Pecans and two 3 oz. nougat-filled Peanut Rails.
