(OK Let's try this again. I've tried posting this 3 times over the last few days! I'm so glad we're back! :D)

Has anyone else tried storing fresh bread or baked goods in the Foodsaver canisters with any luck?

I've tried both sandwich bread and muffins and both times the items molded quicker than if I would've just left them in their original packages. Am I doing something wrong or has anyone else had this problem?

The only baked items I have vacuumed in the Foodsaver, are cereal (and that has to be pretty small otherwise it gets crushed), or pretzels. I don't think that bread would work. Why don't you call TILIA and ask their advise. Did you get an instruction video?
I think I am going to like this new format!:p

Actually, I'm trying to vacuum these in the canisters (that kind of look like Tupperware), not in the bags.

I'm finding that I'm leaning toward vac'g in either the canisters or the Ball jars more than the bags.

I have discovered that vac'g fresh (unwashed) berries in a Ball jar (and refrigerating them) keeps them awesomely (is that a word? :o ) fresh, just like the first day I bought them, even 5 days later!

I was speaking about vacuuming in the canisters. I don't use the bag material much, sometimes to freeze meat or fish. I mainly use the 1/2 gal mason jars. I also use the pint jars, some are pint and some are 1/2 pint. I mainly use the canisters for marinating.
