I'm excited to make this recipe tonight cause I did a search and read good things! However, when I went to the grocery store today, I couldn't find onion melba toast and bought garlic melba toast instead. Should I run back out quickly to look for the onion variety or don't you think it matters too much? Thanks!:)

Sorry...another quick question....one of the cheeses in the recipe is Monterey Jack. What do you think about using Monterey Jack with jalapeno peppers instead of the regular? I have both on hand, just wondered if anyone had tried it with the spicier cheese. Thanks again all! Notice that I'm always posting questions right before I actually make the meal. If I could get myself to start preparing better, I could ask my question in the morning instead of rushing to get responses late in the day!:o

I've made this and I don't think it matters what type of melba toast you use - I know I've used plain before and its been fine. I've never tried cheese with jalapenos in it but I hate spicy things - if you like it, go for it.
