I noted on the bottom of the screen where you choose, Great Food , Healthy living , etc. it said there were 19 members and 20 guests on the BB. Is this new?

If I'm not mistaken, a guest is a nicer name for a "lurker." :)

Thanks Emily, I didn't realize "one" could lurk without being a member.

That is correct. A "guest" is someone who is browsing the board but is currently not logged in.

FYI, I'll be browsing these boards trying to answer "transition" questions. So if you've got a question about the new boards, please feel free to take advantage of the "personal message" feature and I'll try to answer as best as I can.

I'm impressed. :D

Had a bit of a snafu in the beginning, since I don't have cookies enabled, and Greg was there in a jiffy with the answer.

PS guys-- you don't HAVE to have junior member or whatever under your name now...

This is more fun than my normal job. :)

Gail, how did you do that. (edit title under your name, that is?)

I think I figured it out.. Well maybe not!

jazzcat, if you figured it out, wanna share? I'm still trying to figure out what all the arrows in different directions mean. They all seem to do the same thing.

I also would like to know if everyone enters each message and then hits the back button or does something different. It's really slower doing it the way I used to AND I have DSL!

...do what?

You mean you don't believe I was assigned that title?

(oh all right. Maybe there's a faster way to do this, but right now I clicked "user cp," followed by "edit profile." followed by tweaking the entry under "Custom User Text.")

Boy is CL gonna come to regret they gave me that little toy...

Luv2Cook, I clicked onto register and then clicked on modify profile. Then you can scroll down to change your "title". Also after reading a post I click "go" after Great Food and it brings me back to the lists of posts. I hope this answers your question.

A trick with the various arrows/buttons:

Hover your mouse over the button and wait a few seconds. A message should pop up telling you it's function.

Wow, Greg. Having you here is like having our own personal bulletin board elf. Thanks for the tips.

Help. I can't seem to edit my title! (I'd really love to ditch this "Junior Member" stigma)

I went to "Edit Profile", but I don't see a title field. Listed below are the fields I do see. Anyone else having this problem?
