We like to send something out to our bigger clients every year from DH's company. In the past we've used things like Harry & David and wine gift baskets, etc. Our friend owns a homemade chocolate company (www.Jers.com) and his gifts are great. But we're looking for something maybe different this year. Any recommendations for websites you've ordered from in the past that would be good gifts for corporate clients?

Lori--our company doesn't send gifts, but because of my job, I do end up getting many gifts this time of year from people we do business with. The gifts are usually are some kind of food--smoked turkeys, hams, gift baskets, etc. I always feel a little strange taking those for personal use, so I typically put them out for my staff or give them to our custodial staff. There is one company that does a very nice thing every year that I really appreciate. I work in the education field, and every year, instead of a gift to me, this company makes a donation to an educational related charity and they send a card telling us they did so. I don't know if something like that would work for you, but that gift every year is the one I remember and appreciate the most. In recent years, our firm has put in place more stringent ethical standards that really limit the kind of things employees can accept from vendors, so a donation in our name to a charity is a great alternative, in my humble opinion. Good luck!

I also purchase holiday greenery/candles/centerpieces from places like Pottery Barn or Smith & Hawken

www.christiecookie.com -- the best cookies in the world. Honest. The white chocolate macadamia will make you hear angels singing.

www.igourmet.com -- I've gotten terrific cheeses from them, and they sell a lot of other things as well.

www.deananddeluca.com -- a little pricey, but some good stuff.

I'm in the promotional products industry, so I'm always on the lookout for unique gifts as well. I know you say you already have a chocolate connection, but this company is wonderful. Edible images.... :D

That is exactly what my DH has started doing, I remember the days of sitting and making 40 baskets of coffee/cookies, you name it. Anyway what he does now is send out a letter to allhis accounts telling them he has donated to the local Union Gospil in their name. In the past 2 years the money he spent on gifts has fed over 100 people. Much, much better! And the response has been incrediable from them. They love it! I don't know if it will work for your DH but it really is great.
In fact lately for wedding gifts for friends that are getting married again and already have everything we have been doing a donation in their name to a charity as well.
