Louisiana Crunch Cake

Does anyone have a recipe for a fat free version of this? Freihofers/Entenmanns Brand makes one that is delicious and we would love to make our own. We usually eat it with Friendlys Strawberry Patch Frozen Yogurt (it has chunks of real strawberries in it!) YUMMY! Thanks in advance for your help!

Wow! I'm stumped! I've searched far too many sites to mention; most return zero results. The only site that had listings was www.kitchenlink.com (http://www.kitchenlink.com) which gave 2 recipes, one with 1 cup of shortening & one with a cup & a half of butter! Hopefully, someone else has a suggestion....

Marshalynne, you might try submitting a request to CL to see if they can lighten this recipe..............I don't know how far in advance they do this for the magazine, but it's worth a try!
