OK, Greg, now I'm getting aggravated. I tried Private Messaging you this, but it said my message was too long!! Here's my problem:

My little envelopes in the far left column open back up even when there's no new post. I read every single post, and I used to use the change in color to find a post I hadn't read, now I use the envelope. Well, I click into it, read everything, use the back button to get out, read a few more threads, and then I hit refresh. Then the envelopes are closed. Then, I go futher up the page, read new stuff, hit refresh again, and lo and behold, many (not all) of the threads I've already read have open envelopes again! (And there were no new postings on them - several of them are brand new postings with no replies at all). They remain further down the page, as I have mine set to show chronological order, descending, just like the old board, but those darn envelopes are almost all open again. So I went back and clicked on each and every post again, just to get the envelopes to close, then I did a refresh, and only some of the envelopes closed, and then to top it off, some more that had been closed were now reopened!! (and again, they didn't have new postings on them - I do understand that when a new posting occurs, it will open the envelope again, but it also moves the whole post to the top of the page - these stayed at the bottom of the page, and were old posts with nothing new added). It's like that stupid gopher game at the kiddie pizza places - where you have to hit the gopher on the head with the mallet when it pops up and you don't know which one will pop up next. I'm chasing the threads trying to get all the envelopes closed. (Except for the ones with new postings, of course). Sorry to be so long winded. I'm hoping you have some simple answer for this. Thanks for your help.

OK, maybe it was just my computer acting funky? I turned my computer completely off, and then turned it on and got back on the board, and all the envelopes were closed like they're supposed to be.

I don't know. All I can say is now it isn't doing that anymore. Sorry to be a pain, Greg!:o
