i FINALLY got a promotion!

so i just had my annual review, and i FINALLY got the promotion that i've been trying to get for quite a while now. as of january 1 i'll officially be a senior designer (i'm currently a graphic designer). :D

it's funny because i'd been putting off getting my business cards updated with my married name until they got redesigned this month, but now i can kill 2 birds with 1 stone! and hopefully this will make me a little happier with my job, because i haven't been thrilled with it lately. it's honestly not much more than what i'm currently doing (i got one of those "do more work to PROVE that you could handle a promotion without the pay raise" deals last year).

i called DH to tell him about it (i said, "hey...i just had my review. WE'RE GOING OUT TO DINNER TONIGHT!" and he was excited, but then immediately put his foot in his mouth. but i digress.... :rolleyes:

anyway, i just had to share my good news with all of my CLBB buddies :)

ETA i did NOT mean to put this in the "great food" section. OOPS!

thanks so much everyone! i'm really excited! DH and i went out to this French restaurant a few towns over and it was wonderful! i had a pumpkin soup with nutmeg infused foam and an angus steak with black truffle butter ::drool:: and DH had a salad of bitter greens with pears, prosciutto, gorgonzola with balsamic dressing and a cumin infused duck breast with edamame puree. it was VERY good. i had a mistle toe martini that was like a pomegranate cosmo with seeds on the bottom...mmm! and of course, they have an insane pastry chef, so we HAD to have coffee and dessert (DH got the flourless molten chocolate cake, i got the cheesecake with fresh fruit on top).

notice that news of any kind always comes back around to the food... :D
