DH and I are so sad this morning - a dear, dear friend, might as well be a brother, passed away early this morning. He was only 43.
He had been injured in a car accident late last year - his spleen - and when they went in to remove his spleen they found that they couldn't because his liver wasn't functioning properly. Long story short, he had taken some medicine in his early teens that had caused long-term liver damage. He's been fighting for his life for the past year but sadly lost that battle early this morning.
If you don't mind, would you say a prayer for his wife and step-son, they had been married for 8 years. Also, his dad and two sisters and lots of extended family members.
Thanks.

Thanks everyone - the funeral was Sunday and it was beautiful.
Such a beautiful presentation of the love all of us hold for him and his family. We laughed, we cried, we remembered, we held each other, looked at old pictures, and just generally celebrated a life well-lived.
It's difficult to say good-bye to someone you have loved for 40+ years but honestly, it was beautiful.
So, thank you for all your prayers - if you don't mind, please lift up his wife and step-son. They have a lot to overcome and it isn't going to be easy at all. She is so sweet and so lovable but so easily ran over by her family and his and it's already begun - the pulling and tugging and do it the way we want you to and she's just devastated.
Thanks again. I wish I had a huggy smiley to post here and send you all a hug back.
