View Full Version : Our new titles

As I'm muddling through all this new info here, I just realized that there is no longer the simple distinction between Junior Member & Member... I noticed some of us are "Bulletin Board Goddesses" and "BB Junkies" and "Senior Members." What do you think of your new titles (in some cases, anyway)?? As a "Senior" member, I feel like I should be entitled to a discount.

:) I was wondering who decided on the titles.

We can actually put any title we want, but it looks as though the folks at CL.com took our suggestions from the previous board into consideration and made anyone with more than 100 posts have "senior" status.

OK, I'm replying to my own post because I just figured out the title thing. If you go into edit your profile and scroll down a bit, there is a box in which you can enter a title. I think I'll do that now... I'm only 31- too young to be considered "Senior!"

Our own warped little minds...
To wit:
Click on User CP. From there click on Edit Profile. Scroll down a bit and you will see something called Custom User Text.
Surely you didn't think CL had the supreme bad taste to give me my designation! :)

Exactly why I changed it. Senior seemed to age me far beyond my years...
PS After a year, most members seemed to have noticed I am seriously warped, thus I didn't think anyone would possibly take that name seriously.
Gail, I LOL when I saw your title, but I couldn't think of anything. I'm not ready for "senior" status either -- though I worked hard to get it in 2 former careers. After my last posts before the board went down, I thought about dubbing myself the Calypso Queen, but who can compete with a godess?

AHA!
Notice I have new designation!
It is nice to know I can change it with my ever-changing moods!
Today, just happy to be here!
Tomorrow, who knows??

This thread is a hoot. I am now a Senior Lurker. I know there are lots of us lurkers out there, just check out the new views stat for the topics.
I am chuckling over the "Senior" conversation. I was just promoted to Senior Staff at work (big accounting firm) and I feel that I am one of the oldest Seniors at the ripe old age of 30. LOL
Gail, thanks for giving us the low down on changing our titles.

Sure thing, Robin. It's part of the job description of being a goddess.
...love your title, by the way.

I liked my Senior Member status, but I also like the chance to change it, so I did.

Oh, Gail...
(sigh)
How lucky to be SO subject to one's royalty as not to notice such things...
