Greg: I have activated a temporary logon id (Temp1) because I have been unable to post under my old id (Holly in KC).

I sent a message to customer service yesterday, but have yet to receive a response.

FYI - I also tried to set up a temp logon id (Holly in KC2) in my desparate attempt to find a way to contact you.

Please feel free to delete both of these IDs once my ORIGINAL ID is reactivated.

Help??

(email personal response to hvalenta@kc.rr.com).

Thanks in advance!!!!

Bringing this to top for Holly. Holly it might be a good idea to post this at the Technical Bulletin Board too.

I got an S.O.S from Emilycat-- she is having the same problems as Holly where her logon ID has been deactivated-- but she also cannot even reregister to start again.

She cannot post and I think that this is an emergency! ;)

Please help, oh wonderful board elf!!

Thanks!

Dana (for Emily)

I thought I was having the same problem, because when I tried to post a box appeared with the word "unregistered" in the "username" area. That gave me to believe that I was unregistered, yet when I tried to register, it said my username was already in use. I also emailed customer service and didn't hear back. Well today I tried entering my username and password in that box that said my username is unregistered and I got logged on just fine. I think the only problem is the way that they display that box and the instructions that appear seem to be telling you to register when its only telling you to log on. That's how it worked for me anyway. I have one suggestion though, there needs to be a way for people who are having problems with their username to contact the tech people without being logged in.

It's Holly in KC again. Now my Temp1 ID doesn't work. I've been able to login, but I'm getting a message that I can't post (the message indicates that the administrator needs to activate my account).

Since I've been able to set up yet another ID, I'm going to post this on the technical board as well.

Emily - assume you are still having problems as well. Since I've been able to log in again, I'll include your problems in my technical board post as well.

How frustrating!!!

It would seem even though I am posting "after business" hours that others have posted well within the business day but are seemingly ignored and I would truly rate this thread as a top priority as opposed to someone getting a job!
Why is it that no one at CL has reponded to this thread?

Maybe I should go back to just lurking...

This is the first I have looked at this thread. I figured it wasn't something I would be interested in. Well, I sure would be upset if my username could not be used. Please, everyone, keep this thread up at the top. We need things to be fixed. HollyinKC, Emilycat and the others need to keep their identities!!!!

Hi, Sneezles! Nice to see ya back...

It isn't typical of CL to simply ignore pleas, and our elf, Greg, has been pretty darn quick on the draw when it comes to troubleshooting problems. Hard to say what's the problem-- companies do have mass meetings and such. There was also a period during the transition-- when CL's headquarters wasn't even able to get online.

In addition to poor Holly's repeated pleas, I also sent an e-mail to Maelynn on the subject. (but I forgot about the time difference and probably sent it too late.) Guess Holly and Emily will just have to sit tight until tomorrow.

It seems that when you register normally, it then sends an email to your email address to confirm it. You then have to reply before you can be "registered".

Some of the old user names have somehow been imported into the "awaiting email registration confirmation" group. I have changed emilycat and Holly in KC just recently. If there are more of you with that problem, please send me a private message by clicking on my username.

I can't guarantee that this will resolve this issue, but I will let you know if it does.

Thanks.

Maelynn

I also have the same problem as Holly. I sent an email today to Customer Service. Had to re- register to get in the forum.
