Just curious to see if anyone uses reduced calorie margarine or butter as a spread for toast?

I have tried all the brands: weight watchers, parkay, promise...they all react the same way, they separate into a plastic- type mound and water.

If you like to add butter to your vegetables,
toast or muffins try Brummel & Brown. It is delicious and doesn't separate. (It's made from yougurt)

I love Brummel & Brown! It really tastes good and it doesn't have any of those pesky transfatty things.. Hard to believe it is so delicious!!

We also use and like the taste of B & B. We just use it on toast, etc. I've never cooked with it.

we use regular old butter. My husband complained because I would buy margarine. He says it's bad for you, so I went back to butter for everything. It really does taste better, too. I don't buy anything extra to spread on toast, though, since we really wouldn't use it that much and it would end up going bad. I am interested in this Brummel and Brown, though. It is like butter/margarine substitute I suppose? I'll have to look for it in the store.

My dad and stepmom are big fans of B&B. My mom always used Parkay margarine, so I like having it on toast. When I cook, I always use butter.

I have posted before about how thrilled I am that they came out with B&B. I still use butter for cooking, but think that it is wonderful for other things, such as bagels and toast, etc. For those of you that don't know, it is made with yoghurt, so you don't get the greasiness of margerine, but rather the creaminess of butter. Also, another complaint with margarine was that it had less cholesterol, but just as much fat as butter (Do I have that backwards?). I think B&B has less of both. But, don't bake with it.

Do any of you know how B&B measures up with Weight Watcher points? I can always look when I go to the grocery, but it sounds so good that I was curious. WW points are based on calories, fat and fiber. Thanks!

Has anyone see B&B in the Pacific Northwest? I don't recall ever seeing it in a grocery store but it sure sounds good. Is it something new?

I use the low fat Country Crock (5g of fat per tablespoon) and I really love it. It is great on toast. I have sampled some of the other low fat brands and don't like them as much.

I love Brummel and Brown. My new addiction is their new blueberry spread. They also have strawberry and apple. I've only had blueberry, and it's wonderful on toast, pancakes, muffins, etc.
