When I moved to the Gulf Coast from the landlocked midwest, I was excited to find cheep seafood....hadnt yet and had been very disapointed!
Well, all that has changed! Tuesday I found 4 shops with incredible prices!!!! I got 2 lbs of yellowfin tuna, 2 lbs of headless shrimp and 1lb of crabmeat for 29.00! I had to share my excitement!
Wow, Kim! What a find! What a treat not having to buy only what's on sale at the supermarket. Happy eating to you!:)

I am so jealous! Having grown up on the coast, we enjoyed seafood very frequently at reasonable prices. My relatives even own an oyster farm. Talk about fresh. Now I live on the prairies, and seafood is exorbitantly priced, and suspect at best. People's idea of seafood here is Red Lobster. AHHHH!

as DH puts it...the best thing at Red Lobster is the cheese biscuits....

Eeew! My parents used to take us there when we were little. Yuck! I share in your excitement, Kim. We just moved 2 hours east of where we were living and prices are waaay cheaper because we're closer to the coast. I can get 2 lbs of headless medium-sized (which I prefer to large) shrimp here for 13.50. Back home you pay that for 1lb. Woohoo!

That too funny kim. The first and only time I've ever been to Red Lobster was in Hawaii ! I was with a group of people and I had to just "go with the flow". So here I am visiting a seafood heaven, and we go to Red Lobster. And ya know, the best part of the meal...the cheddar biscuits.
